Absolutely. Nowhere near good enough. How is it we keep signing these duds?
Recalling Young in place of Smith is surely a no brainer.

I know the game has moved on…..but l was always told that you tried to head an attacking ball towards the ground so the keeper had more difficulty getting down and if they got a block, there could always be a positive deflection. Cook seems to balloon them over the crossbar.

Has Stephen Gent not been sacked yet.

I dont want him having anything to do with our January recruitment if he is the one who scouted and recommended the likes of Taylor, Richards, Oduor and the loan signings

But that’s not the whole story with Doyle, is it? We played him as a back to goal target man, which he is utterly useless at. He went on loan to Swindon, who played him as a fox in the box with wide men getting balls into his feet in goal scoring positions - he scored for fun. We recalled him and what did we do? Played him as a back to goal target man and, surprise, surprise, his goals dried up. You couldn’t make it up really.
Presumably, if we recall Young we’ll play him in the middle alongside Cook, not out wide left as Hughes did, where he was hopeless.

Still in Nottingham now. Anyone recommend a cheap boozer?
    Doesn’t work that way

A week next Tuesday, Forest Green away. Depending on results on the Saturday it could be a huge game.

Maybe Bronco but even in the second half where the defence improved especially with Platt on ,Stubbs was still not great in his defending.

And to think MH thought Oyegoke was the better option to start the season. Wow.

I think it is logical. We are sending him out on loan to gain experience reduce the wage bill or he is not wanted in the squad. Therefore they pay his wages and will use him as part of their squad/team. They say to us if recall him back for whatever reason we want a fee otherwise the deal is off. So we agree. The player then becomes a very important player for that club and they don’t want to send him back. We will pay thd fee. If he doesn’t want to come back I strongly suspect we will sell him.

Could well be, cannot see us getting anything against Accrington to be honest. Coleman always seems to have his sides well up for it at Valley Parade and he's got one over Parky today

Interesting that we looked so much better when we switched to 352 second half. Tellingly, we didn’t spend ages passing round at the back like we did when Hughes played 352. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with that formation, it’s how you play it.

I think he'll end up being a good full back. He's just clearly very raw.

Thought that the loan deal was until January when we have a recall option?
Can't see where any recall fee is involved.

I presume it was a season long loan but any possible recall can only be in January.

Not long home, absolutely dreadful performance and result. And there’s probably worse to come. Absolutely fed up of this feeling now. The faithful fans putting in the miles week in week out and getting absolutely feck all in return

Hook smith and recall young in January. Cook is truly awful, and it is fecking CRIMINAL that we struggle for goals and young is banging them in for Swindon

As I said pre-match, the hate for Taylor is unjust. Stubbs is just as bad if not worse

We were all singing the “get out of our club” and “sack the board” chants, and rightly so. Stop blaming the managers Sparks, and feck off you arrogant egomaniac

    Flynn said it.

We have to pay a fee, as so MK Dons for Kemp.

Swindon have effectively paid a fee for a season long loan. we can recall in January, but we can't just trouser the money.
