Thought things did not work for Cooky but he never stops working for the team. Smith however seems to get a free pass after little contribution

I often wonder if any of our fans actually even go to/watch the games at all.
He's one player that can't be levelled at.
Some of the others maybe, but Walker?!?!?
    Unbelievable Jeff.

Looking at our defence in that first half only Halliday comes out with any credit.

But McGoldrick contributes positively away outside the penalty area. Cook doesn't.

Quality costs money, our cheap season ticket money has been well and truly spunked,
Adams getting his payoff this year
Hughes and Hodge getting theirs next season

Protecting Pointon was not a bad call Bronco - and hopefully GA will have realised at least a couple of players who should never be seen in a City shirt again. Well done Halliday, certainly didnt let his head drop.

And for the joker on here who is still defending Hughes - you muppet!

Smith simply isn't and will never be good enough. One of several shocking signings this year. Don't let a shitty cup hatrick fool anyone.

Not sure even Cook after scoring 30+ goals last season he would have stayed without a very good offer, would you have allowed him to leave because we didn't match what another club my have offered, the club would have got some stick if that had been the case.
Not only todays game but Cook has missed some easy chances (for him) this season accumulating in those misses today, but I'll defy anyone to say he didn't give his all today getting into those positions where he should have hit the net, but I ask again where was his strike partner before getting hooked.

We've just seen what happens when you play 4-4-2 with two attacking wide men.

i.e. you get steamrollered in the middle of the park.

4-3-3 is the way forward. You play Wilson or Chapman instead of the pathetic Smith and you've more chance of getting the ball and creating, because the creative players like Pointon and Walker are more involved as opposed to largely stranded on the wings.

Problem is Alexander has said or it's been said that he plays with two up front. That's already him handicapped - because this squad is not equipped for that and he has to work with these players now.

They also missed loads of chances. It's normal.

We were never getting back into it

Not today he didn't. If you're defending Cook on today and his recent matches - then you'll have to give all the team the same defence, because to me, on average, he's been one of the worst. Attitude is openly terrible. He's missed about eight sitters in key games against the teams we should be competing with, but still looks to blame everyone else.

Totally agree. Why on earth did he hesitate on that threw ball? That one second delay, resulted in a good chance been lost.

He's certainly not fooling me and as you'll know I prefer to be bigging a Bradford City player up rather than knocking them, I've seen little in the kid to suggest he'll share the goals this season, and unfortunately the games Oliver played last season I'm not sure he'll be the answer either, I believe Pattison has been a big miss and he will be offer more than either Smith or oliver although he's not an out and out striker, but listening to Alexander post match he's certainly seen both side of Bradford City in this game alone.

As far as I am aware, a sacked Manager continues to be paid until he finds another position.
If that position is at the same salary then the payment stops.
If that position pays less than he was on then his payments are topped up for the length of his original contract.
Now Adams went to Morecambe pretty quickly so I can't see him being sacked at City would have cost that much.
Hughes' contract is up at the end of this season.
Perhaps conditions/agreements etc are written into the contracts?

Maybe Dennis will know a bit more?

It's easy to see why Hull off loaded the lad.

All the rumours flying around about Cook going to Wrexham for a fee last year. Yeah, like Parky is that daft! He’s only going to decline further, let’s cut our losses in January and replace him
