Doesn't look like Tulloch featured against Stockport or Swindon. I think his best game was against Newport (seemingly can be said for most the squad this season). But his assists for Cook was really good and had great positioning to get his goal.

Would have thought that would kick him on, but he only started once since then in the league since, hasn't even been in some squads.

 

If he plays 4-4-2 again the 5-0 defeat all those years ago will seem like a good result, we’ll get swamped in midfield and they are far better at getting goals than our lot.

Agree with @nicknameless - would like to see more of Tulloch. He's had an impact when he's come on as a sub. Can't say where he'd play when we don't really now what Alexander's preferred set-up is

They're both around 5th/6th choice so why, if an injury crisis hit, wouldn't you want to play the one that's actually contracted to the club and therefore of some possible benefit?

 

Contracted or not, i'd be playing the better player, simple as that. I don't give a toss whether they are our player or not, it is a no-brainer. There are countless examples of this throughout the leagues, for instance Jake Young is obviously a better player than one of Swindons contracted strikers and that is why he plays ahead of him. Just look at how much we missed Wright & Banks

 

Is he a better player? He's certainly not priced is as yet.

Either way, I hope neither are relied upon apart from maybe the odd 10 minute cameo so this debate on who is better isn't with the time anyway.

 

I'd be sending Afoka and Tulloch back myself.

Oyegoke and Tomkinson can also go back.

Chapman has been injured. Pointon playing on the right and quite obviously not a winder. Walker similarly not a winger. Odour - lol.

 

So Chapman's a winger, now fit but has been injured recently so you discount him.

Pointon has played on the wing all his first team career but apparently isn't a winger so you discount him.

And Walker has played wide for probably 50% of his entire career but still isn't a winger so you're discounting him.

Make that make sense someone!

Tomkinson seems a very pointless signing. Either on international duty or overlooked by us as he is way down the pecking order. Very odd one

 

Isn't his agent the son of Mark Hughes?. Whether true or not, they seemed to work very hard on getting him here, and then more or less ignored and overlooked him.

The only conclusion I can come to is he is very poor not been able to get into our defensive line-up this season

 

Did we sign him when we were struggling for centre backs? Can't remember to be honest, but yeah, pointless signing. Hopefully we're paying very little of his wages.

I struggle to see how Tomkinson could be any worse than Taylor or Kelly

The Notts Co manager has been turned down for the Oxford role after making the final 2. Wonder if the atmosphere will be off in the squad for Saturday?

 

He's denied that and said he was never approached and didn't have an interview.
