Penny pinching?

 

It's beyond making the players angry. We're a fundamentally broken football club. I saw this elsewhere, but it sums up perfectly the root of our issues:

Rupp is entrusting a business he owns, in an industry he doesn't know or has no interest, in a foreign country, to someone in their first CEO role - who 18 months before that was managing the Facebook account.

Would he do that with any other business he owns?

Any new manager needs backing from us. His only job now is to make sure he gets rid of Gent, makes headway into shifting the absolute shite out of this squad, potentially all of them except Pointon, and keep us in this league.

I pray there is a takeover afoot and when it happens Sparks leaves within the hour.

I'll get panned for this, but the biggest wage thief in this squad is Walker.

 

I really hope so.

I know I posted this on Tuesday but I’ll keep doing it because it is the most ridiculous statement that Sparks has ever made.

It should be on a banner sent round the ground instead of some fans creaming themselves over Parkinson.

 

The prospective of fine margins tell you if we (Cook) scores even just one of those chances, we probably stroll to a unconvincing victory, which papers over the cracks of the reality.

The reality is we are a mess of a club. That first half performance after Tuesday was very very poor - completely unacceptable. All these players “playing for Kev” (apparently) couldn’t even give him the respect to come out and make up for the shit they served 4 days earlier.

Genuinely, what are we going to do differently than what has failed us with every single manager since Parkinson? We can talk about a new manager over and over again but we need so much more than this. We are a failing professional sports club that is been masked by high attendances and decent enough off field activity. We have an unsustainable structure and a change of one manager is not sufficient to get us back on track in the current game.

 

That 2nd goal was an act of divine intervention to silence the happy clappers who would've no doubt considered it a decent hard earned point away after a battering on Tuesday.

How far we've fallen.

I just can't pinpoint where it all went wrong...feel like it might have been around 7ish years ago? Different managers, different players, the same results...nope can't think of it.

Ah well. I think if we appoint another manager then THIS time it'll work out (doesn't matter who's appointing them we're told )

To be fair, your direct debit is £15.50 a month. You are hardly working your arse off to cover that, unless your arse is the suze of a gnats chuff.

As far as football goes it’s pretty depressing. The fans that went to MK Dons and then this deserve a medal. I think it’s obvious we are way off top half, the manner of the last two defeats is ringing alarm bells, it’s going to be a long old season whichever happens - looking over our shoulder / relegation battle or fck all to play for mid table mediocrity.

 

Remember when Parky would build a team around mentality and attitude, mixed with talent? I've heard Parky and other successful lower league managers talk about attitude when signing a player. You can sign average players talent wise, and have success if they have the right attitude…

We have to question the attitudes of many of our players. Too many don't have the correct attitude or skills. It must be a weak mentality across the squad for us to consistently lose against teams that everyone else walks through.

 

How can a team that beat you in the first match of the season be in the bottom 4/6 ?

 

We're in a relegation battle if things don't change.

Pattison looked like a world beater at Harrogate..... is he now a ghost ~?Add all our key players playing rubbish and we are doomed at this moment. Have a good look at the teams in our division we are In a bad way. Any one can stuff us and that includes top ten in the National league too..

 

Is what is truly annoying is that L2 has a basic requirement to succeed and that's to spend good money on 3 or 4 really good high end L2 players through the spine of the team and then just fill the gaps with honest/average but hard working L2 grafters simple, but why every year do we sign a bloated huge squad of mainly poor quality? Which as imagine the level of player could of been signed if we had say 8/7 less?
