Well I don’t know what I expect. All I know is that we had two owners who gave this club a plan of action which was to get us promoted within three years. Edin had is own plan of how to achieve progress that plan. They were the ones that appointed McCall, so they are also responsible for the results. We have a recruitment cttm, so far that hasn’t worked.

So now we are where we are, what I want to know what are the owners going to do in order to progress this club. When they arrived we were in a prime position to move forward, they did not build on what we had, now it’s time to tell the fans what happens next, because they have now lost 30% of the fan base.

Shite transfer rumours that are way off the mark
    from weird and wonderful sources

People to moan at every signing and say his Wikipedia stats are crap

People telling everyone to give him a chance

Some unknown performing well in pre season so we have to sign him up

Not signing him, people having a meltdown

Losing 1 game and it being the end of of the world

Winning 1 game and people claiming we’re gonna romp it

And basically just another season following City

Happy clappers , thinking everything is great even when it's not .Signing someone no one's heard off ,and saying give the "lad" a chance even if he is 37. Give the team time to gel , all they need is a good pre season , lets see where we are at christmas ,judge them at the end of the season ,and all the other bullmud cliches.

I am predicting a season very similar to the current one.
The main difference being: the highs and lows being evenly spread over the season.
A mid table finish, with a few scary moments thrown in, and few highs.

Turning the clock back ............ League 1 consolidation.

So yet another "U turn" by owners ?, who openly say we don't want to go down the road of developing other teams kids, we want our own to come through.

It will be an interesting 3 or so weeks, but if the club go down your suggested route they will have even less credibility that they have now, and what sort of message will that send out to fans, saying one thing and doing exatly the other.

Who knows what to expect next season. We may have a new manager come the summer, we may have a fair number of new players. We may not. One things for sure, as a PR exercise this season has been an unmitigated disaster. Next season is a fresh start but things have to be done differently. A manager allowed to manage his way and allowed to sign the players he wants and owners concentrating on growing the club rather than micromanaging every aspect of everyday life at the club. Allow people at the club to do the jobs they are employed to do, otherwise there is no point employing them.

    Financial meltdown

    Change(s) of manager

    Unsubstantiated rumours

Another meeting for 25 year season ticket holders (without any purpose)

Interest in a top striker (which comes to nothing)

Christmas Party, Player of the Season - both cancelled

Some previously unheard of player being given a 17 year extended contract on the strength of one appearance

    ........... and

Decent Ale served at Valley Parade

    Obviously, not all are true

On the flip side ............. The message could be "Ok, we've learnt a few lessons, and we'll be addressing these over the Summer." ;)
But yes, interesting 3 weeks or so. Even months !! (August KO) :)

I agree. In all my working years I have yet to meet a Manager or Business professional who has any great success with being 'Fully' hands on. The art of good Management is to delegate. Employ the best staff, delegate duties, then get on with Managing the roles you have not delegated anyone to, or you need to run personally, at Director level.

Hindsight is a wonderfull thing Chris, maybe the new owners ( or maybe Edin) could have taken over and said they were happy to continue along the sucsesdful route the previous owners had persued but with a little more investment for the manager.......oh wait that exactly what they did say.
I say 3 weeks but it could be sooner as our last game being Scunthorpe away on 5th May, hopefully Grayson will have given the owners his decision by then, because if its no then they have to go through the applicants and make their choice then discuss the type of player the new man wants.

Don’t think the fans will mind if it brings success on the field

Indeed. And yet such a situation should come as no shock to the system ......... City should (by now ;)) be well rehearsed in the 'Rip it up, and start again' scenario.
A gentle dig at the Club, yes ..... but just gentle. I'm not totally opposed to scrapping plans perennially, so long as the new blueprint is better than its predecessor !! Something City are becoming poor at ....... :(

As discussed previously, its hard to tell what to expect next season until we know what is happening with the manager. If Grayson leaves and we are scrapping around trying to get another new manager then next season could be a long one. Grayson stays then the signs are there that we could compete next season.

League One is looking pretty tricky next season. Sunderland, despite being in free-fall, will be like most of clubs who bottom out at this level and will start to recover. Burton are well-run and could easily compete if Clough is still there. Then you're looking at either Barnsley or Bolton who are likely to do well. Only one of Shrewsbury, Rotherham, Charlton, Scuthorpe, Portsmouth & Peterborough will be going up.

If promotion really is the aim, giving Grayson the tools he wants to succeed is the first step. Secure Grayson's services and I'd expect an interesting summer of comings and goings as we shift away from McCall's ideology.

Isn't that the point though? people want them to admit and correct their mistakes.. Yet you're trying to turn that into yet another negative.. Unfortunalty use of the loan market in our league is key! Grayson will know this and will tell Edin..

Did anyone ever catch a midweek train from the 'Home Counties up to Bradford' in the 1970's ??

    A bit diverse ....... But stick with it ........... Expectation versus reality;

So long as my train arrived on time at St Pancreas, I had a fair chance of scooting across to make the 21.50 Kings Cross to Leeds Express. Once in Leeds, a 5 minute time frame to catch the last train to Shipley. Fantastic, did it 9 times out of 10. But what when it all goes wrong ?
Ah yes ..... The good old reliable 23.05 From Kings Cross to Birmingham, wait half an hour, before Birmingham to Leeds - arriving at about 06.00. First train to Shipley at around 07.10, in those days. Yes people, the good old Milk runs, as they were often called.
There were few passengers, and it only took my first time to realise why. You couldn't really grab any sleep, as the train stopped at just about every Station, for mail - and the racket was horrendous. Not to mention you wasted over 6 hours on your 72 hour 'leave pass' !!

So back to City. Most of us were convinced, in early December that this year City could actually hit the Championship again. OK, so our performances were far from convincing - but with the January Window approaching - most of us were on a high, remember ? ;)
But what when it all goes wrong ? (See a picture developing, here ?? :) )

To cut a long story short ............
We set out on a journey, we expected to be trouble free, but one glitch can lead to another. The destination will always be the same - The time of arrival can be different.......
