Purely rhetorical of course because it's never going to happen, but I still think it's an odd view to have given how effective Kemp and Young seem to be when they play together.

Kemp is the architect, that was clear for all to see yesterday. I see it like this..Kemp doesn’t need Young whatsoever, but Young sure as hell needs Kemp……See my point? Odd that may seem but true imho.

I felt first 15mins of the game both the crowd and the players were tentative. It was almost like after 18months the handbrake was released and they were told to go out and express themselves positively. After that initial period the penny dropped that no one from the bench would admosnish them for breaking any ridgid instruction.
To see shots from distance, players looking at a forward pass as first option, the energy of closing down in high areas, being one goal up and the only focus was attack for a second one, and most refreshing not been camped in our penalty area for last 20mins.

Just a enjoyable matchday experience that we'd long forgotten after 18months of garbage.Surprised many on here had become institutionalised to such crap and were happy for it to continue. Credit to Sparks for listening to the fanbase and acting fairly quickly although not quickly enough for me.

Bigger challenges coming up, as Swindon came toe to toe and afforded us lots of space to play.
However big plus today was the players were very comfortable with what they were asked to do, and thats 50% of getting were we need to be.

Walking down manningham lane and having random conversations with other fans all happy for their Saturday night because of a bit of positive football was something Id almost forgotten the pleasure of.

Win lose or draw yesterday, my wife would just like to thank Mr Sparks for sending her husband home on a Saturday evening in a good mood. It’s been far too long!

I liked the way McD made three subs at separate times rather than three together, disrupting the flow, as Hughes often did.

Why is he a sulker? He had a row with Hughes and he got banished and that was it. He returned in pre-season and wasn't given a chance.

I dont remember him refusing to train or play.

I understand aand partially agree with your comment. However there is a big worry with that strategy. As soon as the 3rd sub was made yesterday City cooulnt make another sub even if a player was injured. Although you are allowed 5 subs you are only allowed 3 opportunities to do so (plus H/T). So with the strategy yesterday a risk was taken the nobody would get injured after the 3 sub.

Oh yes, it will take a number of games to adjust, plus how we plan and deal with teams that come to park the bus.

I think Young's a fairweather player. Decent managers like Rob Edwards and Pete Wilde haven't fancied him. I'm unconvinced that he'd improve the team, if we are set up correctly, i.e. like yesterday.

Lots of these types of players have great careers, not every footballer puts the team first.

Who’d have thought attacking football trying to score a goal would be successful.
Do we need a DOF to oversee that?

You seem to be calling Youngs integrity into question when you don't the reason as to why a certain manager doesn't fancy the lad and thats not fair. Unless you know the every day goings on at Forest green and Barrow.

Really, daft as it seems rookie McD might not be aware.

Maybe McD did not know but Trueman must have that knowledge.

I'm guessing rather more they didn't care and wanted to give game time while slowing down the game

Every player knows these rules by this point, they have meetings every summer. Being involved in at leat 1 or 2 games makes everyone aware too. He just wanted to make 3 subs is my guess.

Worth noting as well that McDonald isn't a complete touchline novice, he was part of the coaching staff for the Fulham U18 & U23s whilst getting his coaching badges.
