Warnock surprises me as he's a Blade fan through and through he can't need the money maybe a 12 month contract would be enough to give Neil and his wife to return back to his roots.

Yes, 3 very good footballers. How do you fit them all in though...CM, AM, LW i guess??? Then someone who is direct and pacey down the right.

Well he is by design but football changes people. Blades will hold a place in his heart but he is not a hardcore supporter - he can't possibly be.

That said, as a supporter, i'd manage Leeds or Town if they offered to pay me well and I didn't have owt to do.

I'll just drop in my support for Trueman too. He's a coach and great one at that who loves the club. Why do people look for scapegoats so much?

Do people think he had any part in Hughes's tactics? Does Hughes strike you as the sort of guy who would take advice from anyone else?

Both you and I along with many more have done our homework on Bradford City year in year out and still say It's our turn next season, but you have very a point.

For me these 3 work if we can find a decent pair up front.
Cook imo thrives by himself but not as a pair.
What's best for the TEAM might not be what supporters envisage

We could certainly do with a bit of positivity.

It will be interesting to see how many interested applicants are in the stand tomorrow watching the game and players!

Much as I loved Trevor Cherry and what he did for the club in exceptionally difficult circumstances, I've long held the view that it was the partnership between Cherry & Yorath that made us what we were, a point born out by the fact that Cherry started to fail as soon as Yorath left, and Yorath on his own was less than successful.

One of those, right people, right place, right time things. The perfect foil for each other and boy did it work in the time they worked here together.

The fact that Cherry never dipped his toes into football management again spoke volumes. In fact I recall an interview with him after he left when he said he "was delighted that he had been sacked, and always saw himself more as a managing director type in football rather than a coach" - perhaps he could have been a success elsewhere as a DoF if he had chosen that ? Who knows.

I bet most of them fu@k off home after about 60 minutes like most fans did at the Walsall game.

    Welcome!

In respect of the question about previous appointments, one would hope nobody said 'this is the wrong guy, he'll get no support from me before game one. Evans aside, almost anyone will get a go as manager, even total rookies like T&S got a go.

But did people have reservations about Adams in particular? Heck yeah. Managing Morecambe and managing Bradford City simply isn't comparable. People said the same about Hughes. Managing in the Premier League and managing in League Two aren't remotely similar. Both were pointed out for sure.

They still got given the chance to prove themselves, though.

There's nothing wrong with skepticism or debate, but Adams in particular lacked the character or charisma to stand up to criticism from this fan base, and why he was singled out in quite such a pointed way I'm not sure. If he'd interviewed and his vision was pure Bradford City, then fair enough, but we went out of our way to poach him from Morecambe, and it turned out to be a terrible choice.

Welcome @Sunnybank@Sunnybank very positive first post, I know little with regards the Cowley's and to be fair until Lincoln they were very much under the radar for many fans, I'm not sure how near the T@A are with regards applicants but I do hope my second love Bradford City get it right this time but I do accept it's a lottery.

Great idea, give someone a job in Bradford who was convicted of chasing and beating up an Asian youth.

I posted something similar remembering during his early time at the club he said he'd taken advice from one of the medical team started the player but was disappointed with his performance, actually saying he would make all the calls going forward.
