Having heard Sparks opinion of McCalls managerial abilities I would be astonished that it was him that extended his contract. I think the comments at the time were just trying to say the right thing on his first day in the job. If by some miracle it was him than give him credit for correcting what would have been an horrific mistake extending his contract.

Richardson is not for me. Had success at Wigan but his football is appalling.

 

People who say that a managers style of play is good or bad really annoy me.

What do they actually mean by this?

A lot of people would describe HughesBall as good because he played a passing game but it was boring as feck because we created nothing.

Its not as simple as possession = good, long ball = bad.

What I want to see is us play at a high tempo and create lots of chances because that’s what gets the supporters off their feet. I could not give a monkeys how we do that.
