This is the problem with people that only drink 3 pints on 23 occasions a year. They can't see the wood for tradition. Pretty much like the tradition that you can't sack a failing manager, and being 16th in L2 is good because they are happy to get out of the house to watch rubbish.

 

I used to like a pint of Webbo, comes with growing up in West Bradford where all the pubs were were Webbos

Fair enough. I think you're very wrong, both in your take of the majority and personal assessment, but its all about opinions.

 

As long as the next managerial appointment can guarantee us promotion I'm not against giving him more time,

As you say the likes of Uncle Derek, Gary Bowyer and even David Hopkin looked shoe in's reading their CV and when Hughes was announced I can't remember one poster saying it was the wrong appointment, fickle lot aren't we.

 

I believe by the time we play away at Sutton if Hughes hasn't turned our results around having us in a play off position he will be gone, that's 8 more league two games.
That's my take on the situation.

 

I'd take top ten by then, and another 8 games is very fair.

I've seen enough in his tenure to think he won't turn it round
Cook supposedly back on Saturday hope he's not rushing him and sets him back even tho he's yet to score this season

 

It is, I'm with you regarding Cook it was less that a fortnight ago he said Cook was weeks away although he was training alone on the grass it's better than the first diagnosis when they though he might need an operation.
IMO bringing Cook and Pattison back won't improve us unless he changes the way he wants us to play if for nothing else its bloody boring soul destroying.

It's been soul destroying his entire tenure with VERY few exceptions nigh on 80 games !!
Can't understand why people want to give him another 8/10 games to alter things he's learnt nothing from last season both Carlisle play off matches alone should have told him something the Bank's substitution was the last straw for me
I just see it as losing valuable points which could be crucial come the end of the season
Another 8 games like we have seen for the last 80 will condemn us to another season in the Khazi league but this time further hampered with the rubbish he's brought in on 2/3 year contracts
Struggling for positives here

 

As much as I'm bored shitless sat at Valley Parade this season I would give Hughes the luxury of having his injured players back and some time to work with the new players. He knows what the fans expect now and it's up to him to give them what they want.

 

We are only 3 points of play off and 5 points off autos presuming all the teams above us don't pick up points and we gain victories
A new manager would have the chance to prepare for the new transfer window no one would expect instant success
We have the players to at very least entertain at a pinch reach play offs (as well as the long contracted duds) but unfortunately the Hughesbrake is well and truly applied
Why put off the inevitable

 

This is about 1) style of play and 2) results in that order. A new manager might have mixed results however its more important to get a recognised and entertaining style of play. That's what is annoying the paying public at VP and has been for many games under Hughes tenure.

 

And only 7 points off relegation place

 

I think it could be sooner than that. If we go out of the cup and then fail to beat Walsall it’ll be game over for him.

 

We have to be better when our best striker and best midfielder come back.
I know they played in games when we were shit but Pattison showed in his few starts that he has an eye for goal and Cook will eventually start to get goals.

I’m rapidly moving towards the Hughes out camp and I agree the last few games have been unacceptable but I definitely think we’ll improve with our two best goal scorers back and think it’s fair he’s judged on a fully fit 11.

Probably still needs an operation a lot of players carry injuries through the season and have an operation in the summer it depends on the injury. But certain players can play through discomfort Windass for instance and if you look at Walker off the ball he limps about. Just things like hamstrings where it takes a lot of healing not sure we will see Pattison for a while
