Well, a partially successful day. Match was dire and boring but on the flip side the boy enjoyed himself so much he asked if we could go again tomorrow. He didn't need any of the books and stuff that I took. When we scored he said 'Did we actually score?'

It's there, on the right of the picture. Can't you see it?

nah, it was ok. Classic - been here 17 yrs and been to Raasay loads yet never walked to the top of Dun Caan until today. Amazing views so up to Gairloch and across to Applecross and then round to Skye, Cuillins, Storr and Quirang. There was a geocache on the summit too. Some nice looking hill lochs skirt it, so need to get a ticket and take my rod. One for next season.

And you left TW for that.

    I'm trying to understand why.

Maybe it's a lot warmer up there and doesn't have any annoying, flying insect life?

On second thoughts, I won’t fish Loch na Mna as apparently a Kelpie lives in it that once devoured the local blacksmiths daughter….

cheers, we got a nice day for it, definitely a walk we’d all do again. Even the kids enjoyed the walk, about an hour from the road to the summit and a good path, loose scree on one section, but it all adds to the experience  daughter took a sketch pad so we had an hr or so up on the top.
