Despite all the negativity on here I'll be at Valley Parade for the first time this season. Just like the past 65 years of following City I live in hope that we can celebrate after the final match in May.

 

Can cookie finally come good. 8 competitive games without a goal and can we keep a clean sheet.
I really do not know what city team might turn up, but going for a 2-1 , do not care who scores.

Having listened to the latest press conference it sounds as if McDonald will start because Hughes says he is now at a fitness level where he could manage 75 minutes.

 

Unless he is planning on substituting Smallwood earlier in the 15th minute

 

Sincerely hope Smallwood is nowhere near the starting line up on Saturday.

 

Looking at Crewe's results so far, I'd say there is very little chance of us keeping a clean sheet. They've come back twice from being 2-0 down against Walsall and Swindon and twice went behind against Mansfield but still managed a draw. They also put 4 past Newport, and Wrexham are the only side to have scored more goals than them so far.

 

They were 2-0 down against Mansfield too.

 

You're right, I don't know why I thought they'd drawn level with Mansfield before Mansfield took the lead again.

 

Looking at the "prediction" thread, it surprises me how many fans think we will win this game

Crewe are unbeaten so far and have played some tough matches. They also went to Sunderland in the cup and beat them. This will be a much harder match than we expect, and things will turn even more toxic if we lose, like it did at Morecambe

 

I'm not there, but not as a boycott, just had the opportunity to go for drinks and a meal in Haworth which appealed more at the moment, and my life is no longer driven by football as it once was.

I'll be back for Grimsby by which time I hope to find us in better form and the debate over Hughes a small piece of history (for now).

I'll be at my first home match for a long time - has been a tortuous journey. Drove up Weds to look after my mother after her cataract surgery , decided to stay and see City - all good. Late last night got a message from our solicitor down south to say he needed a signature (we're moving house) - near completion so decided to drive back down south to sort it out. Will drive up again tomorrow for the match. Phew. Is The International still good for a curry ? xxx

 

Supposedly the International Flagship (Old Three Singhs) is reckoned to worth a visit. Can't vouch for it personally as I've not been but heard good things about it

Tomorrow will be my first game of the season. I missed our first home game as I was down at Wembley watching RL Change Cup Final rather good game and backed the winner . I’m still a season ticket holder maybe I’m drifting away. Hopefully a win tomorrow and we “ Move on up “
