Poleon got sold for a fee which makes it about 300k. Taking into condensation that we've still have an asset on our hands in Doyle, that's a very good price for potentially 3 and a half years of goalscoring. So purely from a financial point of view, I disagree with you.

 

I still don't get your OP. How did a clique get in the way of our poor recruitment?

 

Maybe the owners thought the clique wasn’t just players and involved SM but didn’t have the balls to sack him after Wembley

I don’t think they intentionally did it but I think he held back on spending some of the funds due to it

 

Rupp holding back money because McCall was part of a clique with the players is the worst conspiracy theory I've heard. If you are going to make something up, atleast make it believable.

Okay, my comment was more in relation to a comment about a clique, which you then tried to justify. I don't agree with this version, but atleast it's slightly more believable.

 

We finished 11th, played some dire football and it was obvious that we needed to bring in better, so we've brought in better. It could genuinely be that simple.
