City Managers How they performed (With Poll)

With all the discussion about Derek (Drecht and Deluded)Adams and who is the worst City manager in memory, then the stats below say something about their relative achievements.

I would disregard any who had less than 10 games.

The third column from the right is the win percentage.

Hopkin, Jackson and Grayson all got fewer wins than Adams. Stuart McCalls 2016-2018 stint is notable.

Stats don't really tell you about things such as style of play.

In fairness to some of the above, they inherited a team midway through a season, which had been struggling before they took over.

Interestingly is Docherty’s win rate in 1990/91 which is far higher than I would have thought, yet his style of play didn’t have many admirers.

 

That is interesting when you look at his percentage of wins. Although his spell as manager wasn’t inspiring, the team recorded a better win rate than many others.
