Love it when people only include "starts" in the statistics and ignore sub appearances but still include any goals they actually scored as subs.

It simply makes the statistics meaningless.

Does he need a job? He may not want to drop down to Div 2. Or he may want more game time. Probably trying to find that sweet spot between the two

 

Depends on the manager and how precious he is. However it does potentially damage his authority

 

Banks to Blackpool for 500k or 600k depending on which source you read. Blackpool play 3-5-2 so similar questions being asked by their fans about where he fits in if he ends up signing for them.

 

Quite a wedge for a league 1 club to be splashing out on one player

 

Sounds like Rotherham are losing patience with Billy Sharp and ready to move on and look elsewhere now.

I would imagine Sharp is pricing himself out of a realistic move, which makes some fans idea that we are in for him as nonsense

 

When reinforcements are signed I hope they are defenders because that’s where are weaknesses are. We don’t need a 38 year old bit player as talented as he is/was.
However when the first whistle goes it’s time to get behind whoever has the shirt it’s pointless doing anything else,

 

I agree to a certain extent.

I think we need a left wingback and a more mobile centre half if we are going 3-5-2 this season.

I also think we need more options up front.

 

In an ideal world probably but I think we can get by. But defensive improvements are imperative

 

MH has said this weekend that he is not expecting any new faces before the Crawley game.

McDonald should be ready for a run out in the Rotherham game on Tuesday, but certainly not ready for Crawley game.

Tyler Smith should play on Tuesday, so all being well, available for Crawley game.

Monitoring Billy Sharp still?

What relevance does he have to Bradford City?

 

Decent player, good feet, fairly fast.

6 goals last season isn't bad at all.

Is he worth £500,000? To a League One club? Hmm, seems steep, I'd guess he'd be worth half that, tops.

But then, how badly do you lot need a winger untested at your own level? At 21, again, I'd say he's probably not worth £500,000.

Where have you heard that figure?

 

Yep good player at this level and with good potential but not yet at that price

Alan Nixon…who is usually full of s**t!!! He does look talented on the ball, but like you say one ‘decent’ season in league two probably shouldn’t warrant half a million.

Would like to see you guys get promoted this season, unfortunately we all know how tough it is to get out of these leagues.

 

Had a great season here and our fans all took to him very well and seemed to bond with us and enjoyed his time here.

We were hoping we might get him back on loan, but that was only likely to happen if we had have got promoted.

Left footed winger who played on the right for us, quite tricky and loved to come inside and get a shot off.

Not sure he is worth £500k yet, a bit of a gamble paying so much, that said, I think he will be fine in league 1.

If he signs for you, I for one will follow his progress with you with interest.

 

Yeah he's suspect

Usually has an idea, but doesn't quite seem to get things right.

If you sign him for a lower fee, that will be a sound signing in my opinion.

I think great is overstating it a tad. He got better. Lots of potential, could be v good long term but big risk may just be bang average
