Agree Paul Mullin wont be an easy one to replace, reading about punctured lungs I can't see him being available against us in late October 6 to 8 weeks not sure how quick he could be with regards getting back into training and using that damaged lung, against sat in an office (no offence to people who work in an office), they unlike us have other options but as Andy Cook is to us Paul Mullin is to Wrexham.

Reckon it will be around our game that he returns to action. Eight weeks from now is September 20th, even if he comes back in 6, there's still a lot of fitness to build from barely running whilst healing to being match fit.

The October international break weekend (14th Oct), conveniently has Wrexham vs Salford scheduled. Bets on that game being on Sky and Mullins return? They play us the week after.

Add to that four broken ribs. Keeper didn’t even get sent off! Shocking

I know the family. He’s got to stay in America and can’t fly home for another three weeks. Will be playing catch up fitness wise and not nice when you’ve a young family. Hope he recovers quickly and doesn’t pick up pneumonia etc.

I took “right for BCAFC” to mean “until our valuation of the player is met”

Tough showing a red card in a friendly, ref might have had some guilt after seeing it at half time and sent a united player off minutes into the second half.

Looking at the clip, it's more stupid than reckless. A coming together which 9 times out of 10 leads to nothing, looks like the keeper thought he was going to win the race to the ball, Mullin got his head to it half a second before the keeper and they smashed into each other but the goalie was running with far more momentum and his elbow goes into the sides. Grim injury to have for the bloke.

Ah fair enough then. I didn’t watch the game myself. Parkinson was raging after and said it was a red and that he didn’t want the kid to come anywhere near them after the game! Understandable really.

He’s such an iconic player for them. Be interesting to see how they cope in his absence.

Gabriel Sutton did this, the lad has a fetish against us. Said we had no chance of the playoffs last season, follow his betting advice and you can say bye to your cash imo. He may get some right but I’d be shocked if Barrow get 3rd, Wild is a very defensive manager, while he gets the best out of what he’s got it does limit them.

Seen Parkys interview, doesn't sound like a happy man. Might be him playing up for the cameras a little?

Just saying that as in Parky said he hasn't seen the keeper, expects him to be staying well clear of everyone...... but in Ben Fosters interview he said he feels bad for Nathan Bishop (goalie who tackled Mullin). Said Bishop came into the Wrexham dressing room after the game, apologised to the players and staff and Ben gave Bishop Paul Mullins phone number as he wanted to reach out and apologise himself.

Fair play on the young keeper, knew he messed up and wanted to apologise as soon as he could.

Parkinson needs to have a word with himself then. It wasn't the greatest challenge but there was certainly no malice and to react like that to a young kid making his way in the game is poor imo.

Perhaps the Hollywood nonsense is starting to get to PP and he's suffering from delusions of grandeur after the hype of the games and traveling all the way to America to play Man Uniteds youth team.

Id say its pretty good preview that. Don’t see Barrow as challengers but he’s got a lot of similarities with my own thoughts.

our xG and numbers were awful last year so it comes as no surprise people dont think we can replicate last year. Cook can’t repeat last year’s heroics and our signings have been average. The main problem remains Hughes, his blinkered approach and negativity.

if he lets the shackles off top 7 isn’t beyond us.

I don’t actually find it quite embarrassing and sad that a club with our potential and fan backing is so down in peoples estimations.

If I truly believe they’d got it wrong I would say but I agree with what was written and ball park of where he predicted.

Prob just frustration at losing his best player for two months tbf. Plus, we know he gets carried away in the moment like he did on the touchline here!

he does actually hate us, improving the squad means there's now 13 teams better than us??

I ignored what he said last year and hes ignoring what actually happened last year... guy has a grudge.

The argument is always if Cook gets injured we are screwed. Isn’t that the same for everyone? Last time I checked we are in league 2, I don’t see which teams have 3 or 4 regular goal scorers. It’s a nonsense argument to say take someone’s best player away and they’ll be weaker, it’s the same for everyone. Look at Wrexham losing Mullin, they are now desperate for a replacement because they don’t already have 3 or 4 to hand. People(our own fans often) write us off without taking into consideration that their are weaknesses with every team in league 2, hence why it’s league 2.

His record is terrible to be honest. Last season at this stage he predicted MK Dons would not only get promoted from L1, but win the whole thing with at least 100 points....... that went well.
