Any other forum members going to the première tonight?

 

I’m not going. Don’t want to be reminded what we had 10 years ago and how we squandered the opportunity to progress as a club and regressed into what we have today.

 

That's one way of looking at it, I suppose. I have a different take.
As a supporter of both Bradford City and West Ham United for decades, I'm acutely aware that successful seasons for all but the very top clubs are nearly as rare as rocking horse poo. Therefore, I'm going to take any opportunity to relive and bask in whatever limited success either of my teams ever achieve.
The 2012/13 season was an unforgettable experience and one never likely to be repeated by a bottom tier club. It's an iconic moment in the club's history and I'm happy to wallow in it.

 

Sadly it was the start of a new chapter that never quite got written. Enjoyed it at the time mind.

 

They didn’t capitalise on the feel good factor in league 1 the following season.
Didn’t really invest into the squad to improve what we had and ultimately as soon as Nahki Wells realised we’d stagnated, he was off and we never replaced him adequately.
We did ok the season after but fell short and then fell short again the season after that.
It’s a case of what could have / should have been if only we’d have beaten Millwall.

 

At last, something rupp can't be blamed for.

 

I went tonight and enjoyed it. The film was very well put together. There was some background music at first which seemed a little too loud over the interviews, but it went quieter after 20 mins. Only minor feedback in what was an enjoyable watch. My main takeaway was that Nahki Wells clearly loves the club. Big beaming smile when he was talking about some of his memories. I am sure he will be back one day, but hope he doesn't leave it too long.

Finally, nice to see Rory McArdle and Kyel Reid at the event. Mark Lawn too. A shame some other players couldn't make it.

 

When is it on Netflix?

 

If you can find a day when Wrexham aren't..... that'll be the day.

 

I can’t stand the love in with Wrexham.
Yes they are a decent club and probably should be in the EFL but I really hope they fall flat on their arses when the season starts.
Paying players 5k plus a week as a non league club is nothing short of cheating.
