I'd say it's not a bad thing as it'll speed up the service but ........

Makes sense, the way money is spent these days. In 2021 when the kiosks turned to card only, i think it was 82% of all transactions before that were made on card, imagine the suites will be something similar especially in the years since when card only is the new norm.

If they can stop make buying a pint at Valley Parade a 15 minute experience, that will be better news.

Yes I'm not saying its a bad thing just many (including myself) don't have my banking details on my phone as I assume a QR, or will it allow the transaction to go through as you can swipe it up to £100 I believe.

It's just a normal card payment as would be used in any other shop. No QRs or anything.

Use your pin, or like you say contactless up to £100.

Should improve waiting times and experience all round.

Dave , you know I’m an old fogey but other than the occasional car park I hardly use cash at all these days.
It’s reasonable to suggest most fans have a smart phone so why not use the benefits?
I use Apple Pay for 99% of my spend 365 days a year. There aren’t many retailers I can think of that don’t accept it , even the local fruit and veg market traders do. It’s simplicity itself.

Rumour has it, even the "dealers" take card payments now and have one of those contactless card readers..............

Or Apple Pay on your phone. I haven’t used cash in there for the last couple of years.

They don’t have a limit either. I like it because Apple have extra security.

Few on about apple pay. I dont use it, so curious…..what benefit do you get from using it? I have a card holder in my phone case so tap my phone case against a card reader to pay. Is apple pay just storing card details electronically so no physical card needs to be carried?

It stores your card on your phone so no need to take your cards with you. There's also no limit set by apple pay unlike contactless payments by the card as long as the shop doesn't have a limit.

Yes in a nutshell. However Apple Pay has a double layer of security compared to a standard contactless card. My watch can do the same .

Your card is basically loaded in to your “phone wallet” . Once loaded, it’s double click to open up, no fiddling with apps etc , and facial recognition before using. It really is so simple . Highly recommend, BECAUSE I CAN NEVER REMEMBER MY PIN NUMBERS.
    Your face is your pin.

They really should be looking at them 4 pint pourers . The service is way too slow and the queue blocks the fire exits . We’ve got enough space for extra bars at either side of the suites if we wanted to set something up temporarily. The fan experience in the suites is very average .

Just been to 2 music festivals that were cashless.

Was surprised, but they worked just fine!

Hence why many don't use them, since we were told we could not us what was the The Patrons Suite as it was going to be used for hospitality I tried the McCall/Hendrie suites but it was like a cattle market, I'm sure I'm not by myself in giving the suites a miss prior to home games.

Have only used the suites a,few times over the last 10 years, a soulless experience not helped by the ridiculous prices.
I think I'll stick to the Dolly thanks.
