I have clearly offended you without meaning to. You could be angry about Asda over priced steaks. You can also have an angry opinion both at the same time. I don't know you well enough but when you slag the club off in the way you did in your post I detected some form of mild anger in what you were writing. Angry that the football on the pitch was crap and the shirts were too expensive. You won't be the only one I bet. Anyway you aren't buying a shirt so it doesn't really matter. Or are you?

Ours aren't terrible, but don't seem to be to everyone's taste........ it could be way worse  Adidas are asking for £80 for these replica shirts, or £110 if you want the authentic shirts that will be worn by the squad. Shocking!

Sports clothing has to be one of the biggest if not the biggest percentage mark up profit business in the world. Take the sponsor and club badge off and they'd retail for about £15/20 quid in an outlet store and even then they'd making a ridiculous mark up. Football, directly and indirectly, is one of the biggest businesses in the world now.
Ticket prices, merchandise, Tv subscriptions, the game is far removed from the humble beginnings of a working class sport to entertain the millions of workers on a Saturday afternoon.

I would think what Man Utd & Arsenal fans pay for their season tickets what Adidas are asking for £80 for these replica shirts, or £110 if you want the authentic shirts wouldn't be a problem, as @Rogered Tart@Rogered Tart says the game is far removed from the humble beginnings of a working class sport to entertain the millions of workers on a Saturday afternoon. although we Bradford City fans have been very lucky with the deal Julian & Mark started way back in 2007 which Stefan has continued, and for that I thank them all.

When Bayern started following the price trend, a German sports marketing expert broke down the costs of the new Adidas price range.

Their report claims that from an £80 shirt, clubs receive a £4.80 licensing fee. The retailer then gets £26.40 - meaning if the shirt is bought directly from the club, this money goes to them. Manufacturers, Adidas in Man United and Arsenal's case, then get £23.47.

Of the rest, £13.33 goes toward VAT, while £1.60 goes to local distribution and £2.40 on marketing. Each shirt is claimed to cost £8 to make. Clubs say that it is the manufacturer that sets the exorbitant prices.

If anyone owned any of last seasons Macron gear, there isn't a chance those shirts cost £8 each to make... from the quality I bet it's more £1.80!

The one thing we know for sure about the 3rd kit is that the shorts and socks won't be white or we will be requiring a 4th kit for some games

Personally, i'm glad that there are three kits.
1, Home kit to spill my bean juice down at breakfast
2, The away kit to spill the mayo from my sarnie at lunchtime
3, Alternate kit for the pub at night...... I could spill anything down that one!
Rinse and repeat.... on day two.

It's takes a special type of sado to pay £5 to get a flamingo land badge on their new replica kit.

Count me in.... I think on the other sleeve we could have The Chicken Ranch brothel in Nevada USA. Perhaps they can offer
discounts with used ticket stubs.... Just a thought?
