Agreed, until someone comes up with proof (rather than rumours and hearsay) that edin is the ogre he’s made out to be then I’m 100% behind what he’s trying to do.

Compared to the team that started 2011 we are in a very good place

 

Mansfield say Rose is surplus to requirement, does that mean he is not good enough for them then?..not sure whether he is on our radar, but would be a very underwhelming replacement for Wyke if that turned out to be the case

 

He was their top scorer last season and arguably best player.

Evans was in charge last year, it's probably more a case of he did his usual of bringing in loads of players and they are now skint. I'd have sympathy but any one who employs him has it coming.

 

Watching that video I posted it doesn't seem like they want him to leave but could do with the cash. McAnthony at Peterborough was insinuating that he bid under 200k and the Mansfield chair quoted 300k to get a bit of an auction going.

 

The Mansfield chairman has form at trying to get an auction/bidding war for going for players he wants to sell

From the odd comments I have read - It came across as Rose is a saleable asset, rather than 'surplus'.

Sunderland have finally made some real progress on the transfer front - former Carlisle United striker Charlie Wyke is on Wearside, and will complete his move from fellow League One side Bradford City today.

I got a whisper of this too, earlier.

 

Apparently it’s 500 up front and 500 instalment so 1 million not a bad price plus just read deal in place for Doyle on loan.

 

Slightly less than BCAFC wanted, but apparently CW's resolve is pushing the deal through.

 

Yeah, seems to fit in line with my feed - low price but good add ons - IF CW is good on Wearside. ?
