After the welcome Nahki got when coming to support his past team mates at the Preston game the other season I very much doubt it, some City fans that day were disgraceful.

 

Cook, Sharp and Wells on the bench, Gillead playing just off Oliver knowing Hughes.

 

The Bermudian marksman has agreed fresh terms with the Robins until June 2025 after an impressive start to the 2022/23 season.

 

I would suggest not very reliable.

Its as far fetched as the annual Billy Sharp rumours.

Alex Pattison will be as near to a marquee signing as we get I would imagine, with a couple of Premiership young loanees to probably come in, and a left back perhaps

 

Given Sharp is on a free and is 37, id say its far more likely than Wells, even if it is still unlikely!

I still think Big Chaz Wyke has a chance. Available, ex Boro, plenty of mates in the squad.....

 

Wyke would be a waste of a signing if we are keeping Oliver.

Not to mention his health issues.

 

I disagree. There are levels and Wyke is levels above Oliver.

If we go into the new season with Cook, Oliver and Derbyshire as our attacking options then we can kiss promotion good bye.

 

I’ll hold you to that but not saying you are wrong.

Problem is Sparks throwing 3 year contracts around and Oliver managed to get one.

 

I'm not disagreeing with you about the difference in ability with Wyke and Oliver, the fact remains Oliver is already here.

We need a different type of option up front, someone with more pace and movement.

Sorry to harp on about it, but Wyke hasn't been deemed right health wise to start a game in the past 6 months, as quoted by the Wigan manager.

 

The trouble, oft commented on here, is that people just cannot think beyond ex players. So far this week we’ve had ‘bring back’ Vernam Nakhi Wyke. Come on non of them either coming back or even worth it if available which Nahki certainly isn’t
