    That’s a fantastic signing on paper. We have gone from a pretty average middle of the field to one of class within two days. I still want Gilly to sign up as bench cover, but I do see Pattinson as his replacement next season.

    transfermark has him listed as a CM first and mostly then some left mid appearances even though he is right footed(cuts in and shoots and scores?)
    2 out of 3 deep lying Alex,Alex and Richie?

    Gilly aint signing as bench cover. A valuable part of the match day squad perhaps. 46 games and plenty of opportunities to stake a claim if he is up for the fight.

    CM - Smallwood, McDonald, Pattison, Gilliead, East

    AM - Walker, Chapman, Odour.

    Looks a decent option for 3 or 4 shirts.

    Just watched a clip. He is friends with Harry Chapman and was on the phone to him last night to tell him he was signing.

    The Boro connections seem to be working getting 1 or 2 over the line.
