Watching his goal tally reminded me of some pretty good performances along the way this season, and a really good away record. Just feel like we fell off when it was rather apparent we had no left winger. Played with what felt like 10 men when we'd bring it forward and there's absolutely nobody on the side (even if there was...i.e. Eisa, Costelloe)

 

Didn't you realise that they only have to turn up and they'll get 100 points?

 

Cook missed a very good chance at Carlisle, ie one he gobbled up before. Yes he had less chances, but it's incorrect to say he had none.

Ridehalgh's importance to the team has always been underrated on these boards, probably because he was an Adams signing.

No, he couldn't. He doesn't have the legs any more to get up and down in the way a wing back is expected to. Its a younger man's game is wing back.

Crikey, I'm behind the news today. Just read about Cook signing for another 3 years.

Fantastic news. That's priority No. 1 signed off and a positive statement of intent for the summer transfer window. A key player retained with the nucleus of a strong team behind him.

Although I don't expect he will repeat his 31 goal haul next season, he is a consistent threat and a reliable goal source. Let's hope we add players to improve our supply and provide goals elsewhere.

Hanson would have got us out of league 2 though and didn’t need 30 goals.

Cook did well in terms of goals last season and wasn’t until say last quarter barring the playoffs his overall game improved.

Cook needs to continue improve , stay out of the cookie jar and fire us in to div 1 next season.

 

Nothing to do with Wells being there alongside Hanson then, whilst Cook was effectively up front on his own most of the season, and also wasn't getting the service Hanson and Wells got.
