My choice is that they are all equally as successful in taking the club to the Championship. I'm not bothered about a stand out individual personally, so long as they all have an important role in taking us forward.

Thats not how it works though is it? Usually one or two players stand out in a successful season, like Cullen and Marshall did a couple of years ago. I’ll stick my neck out and say Seedorf will tear it up this season. Looks very sharp and has the pace to trouble teams. The obvious one is Jack Payne. Already looks a class above coming from a higher division.

At a guess: I can't see Wood starting many games, Wright and Miller will be decnet but nothing more and if O'Donnell turns out to be our best player I'd be seriously worried. Anyone from the rest could realistically turn out to be our best signing, but I'm going to go with Payne and Riley.

Put another way. Who would you think will be the biggest miss if they were injured for any length of time?

Probably one of the Goalkeepers as we would be short of cover.

That doesn't necessarily mean they would be the signing that turns out best.

Doyle wasn't our best player last season but when he was injured, Sattlemaier (sp) cost us god knows how many games with his errors.

Not got high expectations for the season, so looking for players that can entertain.

Over to you Seedorf and Scannell.

    Jack Payne.

All I've seen from every fan of the clubs he's been at is he's too good for league 1, over to him too show it.

From an attacking point of view I would like to see Scannell show he has far too much for league one and he is our player too.

I'm hoping that at the back O'Connor builds on the promise he appears to have shown in pre season. Him and McGowan could be awesome for us this season.

Complaint coming. The poll is flawed by the the absence of my choice, Ben Wilson. Mark my words, when he is called on he will outshine any of these Brazilians, De Gea. Championship here we come.

I'm going to take the highly unusual stance of watching em first before sharing an opinion.

That's a lot of pretty decent signings and that's more encouraging than any one individual.

Payne could well be a class above though.

I suspect that the stand out signing will be O’Donnell. At least I hope so as he’s going to be the busiest of our signings.

With arguably our best squad on paper in recent years, can I ask why you’re so downbeat?

Paper is all fine but I'm unsure about the cohesive elements of the squad, with a real possibility of lack of cover in key areas, across the keeper, defensive midfield and up top. Key positions IMO.

Payne and Scannell are exciting, Seedorf comes from good stock, as does Riley but I feel we have a competitive squad but not an exceptional squad, that can challenge where it matters.

The management is a concern but one I'm wishful for.

I also feel Barnsley and Portsmouth have kept hold of very good squads, Luton ( feel they will kick on) and Plymouth have built upon good squads from last season whilst Peterborough, Sunderland and Charlton ( if they can sort out there off field issues) will challenge over course and distance.
