Spot on, said the same over the weekend, especially the “ left side” conundrum. I have a feeling we could see Wright back on a season long loan?.

It wouldn't surprise me given the disappointment of the play-offs if the club didn't say something about the immediate future at the same time. Be prepared for the platitudes and clichés emanating from VP alongside details of how to join the membership scheme. I doubt anything meaningful can be said until 3 issues have been concluded.

Firstly, Birmingham have made a decision on their managerial appointment if the rumours are to be believed

Secondly, Hughes has had time to reflect on his own future at VP

Thirdly, Rupp and Sparks have deliberated on how much of the £8m revenues which Sparks has referred to will be allocated to team building. Under FFP, we could have a playing budget of £4m if Sparks' statements are correct. That size of budget would be great and apparently affordable.

Monday used to be the day of the Board meetings. I don't know whether that's still the case. But it would be a great opportunity to review the club's situation.

No doubt at some point, there will be expressions of disappointment, hints but little substance of what we'll be doing for the future and how the manager will be fully backed. Will the club be saying yet again, that promotion out of this bloody division be our target? Let's wait and see!

What I want: To hear Cook has re-signed and Agyei has agreed to join us.

What I'll get: A message about how many loyalty points a meat pie purchase will earn.

I couldn't! I did wonder if you had got your left and right mixed up. Fortunately we've still got Hendrie ;).
On a serious note though, the Ginger Cafu's performances have declined over the last few weeks.

I feel Bradford City have been imprisoned in the same scenario as the Shawshark Redemption Parole Hearings that occur every 10 years. No matter what we do or say the rubber stamping is REJECT.
I don’t want platitudes, I want them to set out what they want to happen and how they are going to get us out if this division.

I would prefer the actions because whatever they say will be turned against them either “we have heard it all before” or they are complacent. Actions speak louder than words

I don’t think you’re in the minority but for me, my concern is the poor choice of players brought in, who offered nothing to system Hughes chose to play. I’d argue the football at back end of last season was more attack minded and fluid than what we saw all season. I expected to see a continuation of that with better players playing the same style. What we saw was a full 180, where risks were minimised at the expense of attacking football. It’s down to Hughes to either change his philosophy of nicking wins and play high tempo, or improve the quality in the squad to become good at what he wants. Not massive overhauls needed, but we definitely need athleticism in the midfield and fullback positions, along with more than one consistent goal scorer.

I agree wholeheartedly with you. I recall somebody saying (let's call him Ryan) that the club would be more open with the fans and they'd be better informed about important things going on at the club. In hindsight, that statement itself was a bloody platitude! Personally, I prefer to focus on what they do rather than what Sparks says they will do.

Did you get any of the 27 newsletters that were emailed out throughout the season?
Did you listen to the interview with Sparks on BBC Radio Leeds prior to the first leg?
Did you see any of the countless daily posts on the Clubs Social Media channels?
Did you see the questionnaires asking you for your opinion on the Club Badge and the Loyalty Scheme?

I appreciate that we're all frustrated but to suggest the club isn't communicating with it's supporters is ridiculous.

The club's never communicated as well.

I think the club need time to analyse what went wrong before presenting to the fans. I wouldn’t want “off the cuff” statements which haven’t been thought through, which could then be used as a stick against them if they fail to materialise.

What do you want them to say?

MH has come out and said we've fallen a bit short, we've made a lot of progress on previous seasons. We'll tweak the squad. Some will leave although many are under contract for next season so we've plenty to build on.

I'm sure the retained list will be out in a few days after the players have been notified. RS said in his interview that the Recruitment team was chomping at the bit to get going. I'm sure calls have been made this morning to players and agents.

I’m not the one asking them to say anything. I’ve been here long enough to believe my own eyes rather than media sound bites. It was just in response to those expecting some kind of statement straightaway.

We mustn’t forget a lot of that was brought about by the performance of Gordon for Carlisle he was very good

That's what I'm worried about. That we won't be far away AGAIN.

Fair comment, a little livewire. Shows what pace up front can do

They weren’t “poor choices” when they were brought in Inspector, we mostly agreed he had built a very good squad. The problem is some turned out to be exactly as you say. Who would have thought Dom would flop, who thought Osadebe would end up badly injured, not to be the same player again , ditto Walker & Chappy, who would have thought Young would flop here and ditto seemingly at Barrow. Oliver a HUGE disappointment for me. It’s quite a long list that didn’t in the end, turn out not to be quite as good as we expected!

No one I can remember ever suggested any of these were poor choices at the time is what I’m probably getting at.

Wish we could guarantee promotions but where would the fun be in that?
