    Now the Carlisle game is done our next match is the season opener!

    Pre season has flown by for me. World Cup and the longest search in history for a new “coach” has and before we knew it the season is here.

    Still feel short in key areas despite some promising signings and hope we are not playing it safe now. Got to push for more.

    In your opinion what signings do we need to be ready for the opener?

    Onto Saturday....

    Who’s going?
    How many will we take?
    What would be your starting xi?
    Predictions?
    Anyone know much about Shrewsbury this time around?

    I'd expect Mellor to be signed this week, and hopefully a much needed striker.

    Hopefully Jones is fit as I'm not sure Miller is good enough to start, but if we sign a striker then I'd start him.

    I didn’t know Riley could play LB?

    Scannell Payne and Seedorf are exciting but we desperately need something more inspiring up there than a half fit Jones

    I think it will be 1-1

    No idea tbh, same line up as @bantam2708@bantam2708 except McGowan for Killa if fit. But score wise it is a bag of revels, both teams have had huge change and new managers. I'll go 1-1. Hoping to go but won't know until Tuesday.

    Glad the real stuff is upon us now though, we can go back to moaning about what's on the pitch instead of off it.

    love that team. mcgowan to fit in somewhere too.
    get a decent striker and I think we'll do well this year .
    I'm going + 4 getting down there early for our annual first away game of the season piss up. last season we threw a 3-0 lead away at Walsall

    Someone posted we've sold over 1000 with 500 more to come, not sure how true that is but if we have sold 1,000 already that to me is a good following for our first away day this season.
