And we've got it back because behind the scenes, stephan rupp has sorted out rahics mess, (fortuitously) brought in a manager who can handle the pressure, backed him fully and in the process given us faith.

He may be the quiet one, but if we go up, he deserves a lot of credit.

    Did anyone hear anything?

CITY have contacted Rochdale over alleged chants about the devastating fire disaster at Valley Parade in 1985.

A pocket of home fans are alleged to have sung “Bradford’s on fire” during the Bantams’ 3-0 win at Spotland yesterday (April 15).

The T&A understands that it was heard in the directors’ box and by a section of away supporters.

Football has been cracking down on so-called “tragedy chanting” when supporters sing deeply offensive songs that reference stadium disasters or fatal accidents involving players or fans.

Lives were changed forever when 56 people died in the tragedy on Saturday, May 11, 1985.

Bradford City were playing Lincoln City in their last home match of the season when a fire broke out in the stands.

A memorial dedicated to all those who lost their lives now stands in Centenary Square.

2023 will mark the 38th anniversary of the Valley Parade Fire Disaster.

Never heard a thing beyond our fans singing.
I think it's a bit rich for us to complain about fire chants when a section of our "support" deem it fit to set off flares tbh

Hopefully we won’t be hearing anyone from Rochdale for quite a long time?

Our brain dead idiots chucking flares does not help .

You'll get told off for liking a beer without genuine provenance!

Some people seem to think the provenance is the same as the flavour lol

Never heard anything other than our own fans.

Fantastic atmosphere, but I wish the idiots who seem to think throwing flares is a good idea would grow up and stop it. The one that was thrown just before kick off in the corner almost hit the fans who were stood by the perimeter wall at the front.

Having seen the regularity of the flares on Saturday, you can bet your bottom dollar they'll be loads more at the remaining games. Its only a matter of time before someone gets injured. I hadn't seen that many going off at any game I've seen, nevermind one of our games.

I'm not a fan of flares, but they are a regular thing in Italy and there never seems to be any reports of injury. That said, they have no place in British football and VP in particular.

In Europe they use them in a more controlled and planned manner. Here it’s just smelly scrotes throwing them blindly in the air

Just hope that if any of our fans who see's/identifies these idiots throwing flares, they shop them to the Police/Stewards at the game. Time to get organised.

A couple of the flares were thrown by some kids stood right next to the pitch and right in front of a steward, who did precisely nothing.
To be honest I couldn't blame him. There were not nearly enough stewards on duty and he would have been severely outnumbered. Lots of police outside the ground but only saw 2 inside the ground at half time.
The numbers milling around without seats at the front and down the steps was dangerous in my view.
I couldn't get a clear view from where I was to take a picture.

It must be difficult for the stewards with the traveling hoards we take, it was the same at Doncaster there were lots of City fans stood on the concourse between the seating and the pitch perimeter the stewards were keeping situation light hearted but they shouldn't be in that area stood watching the game, but hey I'm an old fuddy duddy who prefers to sit in a seat that I've paid for and watch the game I've come to watch.

I moved down to the front, just before kick off, to get away from the idiots that were letting off flares close to my 'seat'. There were no obvious seats available to go back to until half time when the stewards uncovered some more at one end.
