I agree - we've seen very little of what he can do, which is pose a goalscoring threat from the wing. He has looked like a fish out of water most of the time. But I believe that's because he's been played out of position.

 

The next 9 games are not that difficult other than Carlisle,but I think we’ll be fired up for that game on Tuesday week and will beat them. More worried about Hartlepool as it’s the type of game we slip up on. We’ve got to go for it now, be positive and take the game to the opposition. A lot of points can be gained before we go to Northampton in match 45.

 

That game's massive for a Tuesday nighter.

Disappointed we didn't get the win today but tbh I'm a realist and I accepted about 6 weeks ago that we're a play off side at best, and yes we've got ourselves within touch of the autos, but I'm not going to lose my sh1t over a result that keeps us on course for where I think we're at.

Of course I am and I have always believed in pragmatism and doing whatever is required to garner points and win promotion. I sincerely hope I am wrong but without a bit more of a progressive attitude I think we will fall just short

Then again, if we're promoted, will we have magically found this 'more progressive' approach, even if nothing changes?

 

Where do managers get off with pathetic comments like 'if our player made an honest mistake he wouldn't get away with it'. Why not? Is he alluding to our players getting some sort of mythical preferential treatment?

Mind you I can only imagine the meltdowns on here if an opposition player got away with something similar.

 

We are no way good enough to walk our way in to an automatic promotion place, yes we've come into contention with some recent good results, but realistically we all know where our team is at ability wise, I've said it from the off we are a good play off side at best. From a neutral point of view we're probably an awful watch, None of this concerns me tbf as I can't remember a single team that has been promoted from L2 that I can remember as being a good side

Just back from Newport. Can't say I am in a hurry to visit Rodney Parade any time soon.
Dismal town and despite being in the "covered" Bisley stand we were as exposed as those in the uncovered South Stand. The roof is nowhere near big enough for the size of the stand. Totally wet through.
As for our performance, not the best, not the worst. Honourable mentions for Cook, Walker, Clayton and Stubbs. East did well when he came on.

Yes we may somehow fluke our way into 3rd place, but we may aswell prepare ourselves now for the play offs. And stop being pissed off with results that keep us on course for the play offs.
