The Voice - Match preview Walsall vs Bradford City Tuesday 7th March @ 7:45pm

It wasn't the best performance. we sort of got ourselves stuck into a corner by playing a defensive formation an having very little attacking ouput. That being said, Walsall were deploying a high press, It was a real physical an ariel battle inside our box for most of the game, and most of our players looked knackered. Against most other teams, Walsall would of gained more than a point.

Naturally as a city fan, I want to see us win every game, that being said, Considering we've won the majority of our last 6/7 games, we can be allowed to draw to one of the best defensive sides in the division

 

Personally I think if we sold out the away end, we would of won that game. If only people could prioritise city over their working and personal lives. What has this world come to?

 

It's all about results at this stage of the season, another point at Newport wouldn't be the end of the world, I'd prefer all three but it's all about momentum, staying undeafed breeds confidence.

 

I'd forgotten about him. Its a dilemma though - Derbyshire has more quality and nous of the ball, but not the mobility of Costelloe.

 

I'm a little bit concerned Costelloe might become a bit of a Gilliead...

0 goals in his pro career, albeit early days, but the lad might want to start thinking about dropping into midfield if he can't find the net during his time with us.

 

Funny old game mate Costelloe with raw enthusiasm doesn't always give you a positive result where as Derbyshire with this experience will offer things Costelloe doesn't, and that's not a criticism of the kid.

 

Great point tonight against a difficult Walsall away from home. Rest up lads, we go again Saturday. A much more likely 3 points.

And that's what so great about this second half of the season version of us.

We ain't getting pushed around. Not a single player, including Costelloe shirked a tackle. Radar wasn't quite there (reminded me of when I play FIFA on my PS4 and my controllers knackered ) but the desire not to concede was.

 

The frustration with him, is that he has the ball control pace and energy to deliver more killer passes. Still I've said before, I'll have no problem is Hughes wants to sign him next season no matter where we are.
