Perhaps I fell lucky. I already had 1 ticket for the covered section but wanted another for my son who can now go as well, his work schedule changed this morning. Mick swapped my ticket for another and sold me a new one so we are next to each other (assuming it's not sit where you like, it may be). I said I thought you had sold out and he said no, we've got loads. The new tickets came from a large wad that all looked the same.

 

Crewe we will get 2200 maximum so they'll all go.
It can be done easy enough by train.
£16 return with Northern but via Victoria so a walk across to Piccadilly required.

If you go on any football ground guide it states The Brisley stand holds 500 anyway.

 

I got tickets for the covered section, but it is only forecast light rain showers and a mild 10 deg so folk should be fine

 

Could it be possible that the club keeps a handful to one side in the event of scenarios like @Allotment Bantam where they need a +1 in the same stand, or for those older supporters who would prefer covered stand, and just simply mark them as 'sold out' online so that they all don't go.

I know the Crewe game is a shade under 3 weeks away but have TV fixtures been announced as yet? That weekend is international week and usually that means a few scraps thrown to Leagues 1 & 2 to fill TV schedules by sky seeing as they can't just put Norwich or Burnley on TV by default.

I guess they will show Salford as per usual and to be honest it won't effect their fans plans seeing as they have none.

 

Or you can do Northern to Warrington then change to Crewe. No walking through Manchester required

 

£16 to Newport or Crewe? Ive just looked and far more than that.

Whereas the way I said, Interchange to Victoria, across to Piccadilly then Crewe, can be done for £34 for me and the lad or £22.40 for an adult alone.

The TV schedule has been set until Easter Monday plus the Blackburn vs Burnley game later on in the month. The only game picked over the international weekend is Forest Green vs Sheffield Wednesday with the 3 week minimum passed now it's very unlikely any more will be picked.

 

Thankfully the cold weather seems to be staying away from Newport but it's looking like it will be very wet from Thursday onwards. If this game was a couple of years ago before they did a lot of work on the pitch i would say this game would have been in doubt.

Like you said the work they've done in collaboration with The Dragons rugby union side means it's one of the best in the league.

 

I agree certainly Crewe an hour and a half away a decent stadium good away day.

 

As you say, I ordered yesterday and as there were no covered left online, got the uncovered, no luck in a potential mix up

 

Hotel booked, might as well make a weekend out of it rather than trying to stay awake on the way home straight after the game!
