I'm amused by fans who think that you can trust a weather forecast four / five days in advanced, when it involves snow predictions for an group of islands tucked up in the north east corner of the atlantic.

Most forecasts deliberately give a pessimistic forecast - particularly for snow. This is because, as a nation we're now as neurotic about the Health and Safety implications of snow - so it's like the proper snow winters of 1963, 1979, 1982, 1995 or 2011 never existed

 

I predicted a while ago, that Stevenage will end up outside the play-offs. Clearly they now have defensive problems.

 

There will be many twists and turns as the season reaches its conclusion,it’s a hot pace at the moment to keep in the play offs,we’ve won 5 out of 6 games and still only 2 points clear of 8th

 

Strangely, I think he might come good next season. I'm no great fan, but in fairness he has been playing out of position for virtually all of his matches.

 

Agreed. I wouldn't expect him to look happy as he wants promotion just as much as us and when he came off we had been fluffling our lines again.

i.e. he's a player who does gives a flying you know what

 

I’m not complaining about his being cheesed off about being subbed. He should be.

However, he was poor but again that isn’t his fault. He was out of position and it wasn’t working for him.

That simple. We move on to the next game.

 

Their best defender is injured and seemingly was rushed back too early as he missed yesterday's game.

Their keeper is also injured and they've been switching between two, neither seem good or inspire confidence.

That said, they had 10 corners and 28 shots on goal yesterday but just couldn't score.

 

Others do, you don’t that’s fine.

 

I think the playing out of position thing is a bit of a red herring.
He’s not been asked to play in the back 4 or as a defensive midfielder.
He’s 25 and before joining us has played 100 games in attacking positions all at a level above us. A few at championship level and the rest at League 1 level.
He must have played some of these games in the position that MH asked him to play in or if not something very similar.
While he’s never been a prolific scorer,for him to only have 1 goal from 23 starts when he’s been in so many good goalscoring positions is really disappointing.
I thought he looked quite lively even though he was only on for 5 minutes yesterday but I would have Banks over him every time if changes to the starting eleven need to be made.

Other players get stick(and rightly so) for their lack of goals but Chapman seems to get a bit of a free ride due to playing out of position.

I think he’s only going to be looking at a subs role for the foreseeable anyway,mainly due to the form of the present starting eleven.

Win by any means necessary on Tuesday. Even if it means grinding out a 1-0 win. I think we’ll start the same team as the weekend with use of the bench after 60 minutes similar to Saturday. Hughes likes experience in the team, especially away from home and hopefully the likes of Smallwood and Clayton are a bit fresher after being subbed early.

Is Bola injured still or just not in the squad? Ridehalgh has played a lot of football in a short space of time after a long term injury so he might be one needing a breather.

Bola has an injury. I don't think he is far off. The physio was putting him through his paces before the warm up on Saturday.

 

As Smallwood went off at the Midland Road side I never looked when he came to the dug out in front of us but to be honest NO players should be happy about getting subbed, and it was the right call mate.

 

Thought the snow was more Scotland and north east? Might not be as grim in the black country

 

Carlisle not certain to finish in autos either IMO - two auto spots are up for grabs behind Orient!
