    A bit of luck maybe, but at least we were in a position to take advantage of it -- defence did its job yet again to keep us in that position. The corner that never was (now) maybe balances out the penalty that never was (then)...

    We've clawed our way back to guaranteed-playoff pace for the season, and over a running 10-match sequence we're at a pace that often leads to the autos. The trick now is not to slip back again. This was a match to worry about, but we managed; need the same at Walsall to really get the momentum going.

    Crikey what an afternoon. Well despite people leaving before the goals, we stayed to the end.

    What a period of extra time. I cannot recall City scoring twice in Extra time (sure they must have done so in the past).

    Well turned into a ‘Happy Clapper’ at the end, stayed on for a bit to applaud them.

    Even went to the pub for a pint afterwards, haven’t done that for sometime!

    I thought Colchester played pretty well I don’t blame them for the dark arts. We should sharpen up on them for the end of the season

    Honestly, this was as good a moment as the goals and results itself. However this season concludes, there’s no doubt Hughes and the club have made huge strides in creating a squad that buy into and understand the club and are relatable to the fans. When you look at the business done within both windows, it’s quite an achievement to be fair.

    I should have said passing rather than delivery the first half he must had given the ball away 4/5 times and they were easy 5/6 yards balls.

    Yes as you say they accepted Hughes call and in Smallwoods case got off the pitch at the nearest point which in his case was the Midland Road side, a shame other players mainly opposition players take the long route off the pitch which the referee should remind them it is a law I believe ?.
