Stand where you like at away games, do what you want, break the law and if others don't like it they can always move somewhere else can't they. The merest hint of anyone occupying 'their' seat at at home match however and it's bring back capital punishment time.

Why wouldn’t they be counted? All ST holders get counted as attended in the figures announced. Obviously they don’t all attend for a variety of reasons. This season has been hit and miss for us which I won’t bore you with. Different from when we were younger where we attended hail, rain or sunshine as well as a high percentage of away matches.
However, we are attending today, if no emergencies occur; we had to take our cat to the vets last home match.

 

As I posted he needs to look at our situation with a little more positivity, I'd say all league two and the majority of league one teams must envy our home attendances no matter about the cost, and that would even be envided by some Championship clubs, I just cant find anything to be negative about with a potential 20,000 plus attendance.

Yes this is what many seem not to want to take onboard, I'd like to know what merchandise we sold when our attendance figures were in the low thousands, back in the day you bought a scarf, maybe a program and in winter maybe a hot drink, there were no other merchandise like today.
I believe when Julian first made the offer we had to sell a certain number of season tickets in order to offer the reduced prices, I'm sure the club would have done the figures, we beat the require number of season ticket sales and as we know we have gone on to the figures we sold under Parky, Stuart and now Hughes.
If it continues it will be 20 year come 2027 what a magnificent gesture by Julian Rhodes & Mark Lawn although at the time I understand Mark was not a big fan of cheap tickets.

 

Just asking because I don't know. Do the club benefit from increased sales at the food/drink kiosks, or do the kiosk operators pay a fixed annual fee to the club and take all the benefits/risks from sales? Obviously if its the latter increased sales will benefit the club when negotiating the renewal.

 

Good question but I think up to a point you've answered it, the increase in sales puts the club in a better position when a new contract is up for revue.

 

i think we just get paid a flat (pre-agreed) fee irrespective of sales. But, as you say, more profit to the caterers increases our negotiating for the next deal?

Nature of the beast im afraid !

 

I don't see a problem to be honest, as you say nature of the beast, we're in a great position to fulfill our own destiny with games in hand and our run in with regards fixtures until the end of the season, people will get involved and at £5 it's a win win.
