I've just left Doncaster on the way back to Bradford from Gillingham. I'm sorry @Bigrod but I want my home comforts

A tad hard to devalue something so cheap. Give over, a couple of times a year hurts nobody.

 

This level of support is unparalleled in my time watching us. I don't even care if they give the tickets away for bugger all, getting 19,000 for a league 2 game is just crazy. Let's hope for once everyone who turns up gives their all to getting behind the team as our home support can be like a library at times.

 

Remember the (bad) old days stood on the kop or in the Bradford end with Patsy/Pete Newby leading the singing with a 2-4K crowd. Never thought we’d have a ground (albeit nothing owned) and a support base like we have now. Took a while as we didn’t even get great crowds in Prem days if I remember rightly.

 

Aye. Yet strangely the atmosphere was far better then even 2-0 down , compared to VP recently.

 

Capacity was only 18k in first season of PL and I believe every game was sold out.
The top tier of main stand wasn’t complete until we were already relegated in the 2nd season and so it was only full when Liverpool came.
Additionally, season ticket prices were £300 plus back then.

 

Yeah. Forgot that about the capacity limit. However, I still don’t seem to remember the level of support we currently have in those heady days.

 

well t break time and decided to look at the ticketing website again, WOW!
Many areas with hardly any seats available, which makes it easy to see what is left

Nw corner 770 a little harder to count
about 1400 left.
If we take that there are approx 21000 home seats usually available, quite a few not in use, then we must have passed the 19000 mark.

 

Let’s hope they give the crowd something to shout about
