Fair enough. I didn't mean in general, I just meant with him. Sounds like an excuse to me. If he is seriously ill, then best of luck to him. If not, then it's just a case of crying wolf.
Regardless, still don't think he's the player he could have been, and probably wouldn't fit into our club.

Said in the article he has a diagnosis and medication. They don't give that out at the drop of a hat.

He’s a nice lad I’ve met him, he had the world at his feet when he was at Everton he told me how he was just enjoying football as a 13 year old at city and Archie Christie came up to him and said ‘you won’t be here next week’
The conversation was going well, but I foolishly said to him with a smirk on my face ‘remember that video you made in that big coat singing about boats and hoes’ and the conversation quickly stopped and he walked off...

So we could give the kid a chance, we'd have nothing to lose and being back at City might make him realise this would possibly be his last chance.

Did I say it was a hanging offence. I was making a passing comment about his uncle

To be fair Bronco, and I hope this isn’t the case with Green, football’s history is littered with players who have had dozens of last chances and never changed. Then you have the likes of Jamie Lawrence who grasp that second chance but they are fewer and further between.

Ravel Morrison is exhibit A in my opinion and Nile Ranger has had more second chances than Poleon has missed one on ones with the keeper.

It’s in the Daily Mail, so it must be true.

As for “don’t give out medication and disnosis at he drop of a hat”...are you having a laugh?
I’m still in bed typing this coz I had a full sleeping pill instead of half last night, but I’ve got some nice happy pills that’ll give me a lift. All perscripted :). It’s a huge epidemic these days. The States for example is absolutely a mess.
Anyway. Let’s see how he gets on. As I said, good luck to the lad. I’ll be following his pre season with interest.

I actually enjoyed the Shrewsbury game more. Felt that it was more entertaining.

The lad is gifted but unless he can change his behaviour it will be a wasted gift.
And it’s The changing that’s difficult for people with his sort of personality

I also enjoyed the Shrewsbury game. Both were played at a high tempo but there was more end product against Pompey

I actually think that we have things to lose.

For instance his influence on other young players may not be good, he will take up a percentage of the wage budget, we can only have so many players on the books so some one else loses out, finally someone returning to an environment where they may have experienced difficulties in the past is not always helpful for them.

And the whole game in general. Gaza’s a prime example. So much pressure on young lads to succeed, coupled with loads of cash and loads of people giving “advice”. Gotta be mentally strong and have a great team around you both on and off the pitch. I was worried a bit about young Ali at Spurs. Doing daft stuff. Hope he has some sense.

Didn't we sign Paul Taylor knowing his past history, even though he's left if will have cost the club money to get rid ?.
