If we can keep walker, Clayton, stubbs, cook, lewis and Smallwood fit for the majority we've got a real shot.

Costelleo looked class tonight, well done young man, all round team battle.

 

100% agree with this. There was a period of the game after Walker went off for Critchlow and we looked in such control (not to say we didn’t look any less when Walker was on). Clayton and Stubbs awesome again but Costelloe was absolutely superb.

Cooks goal - fair bloody play…..wow. Just brilliant. Bravo that man.

 

I felt that Gillingham being in form could have been a boon for us - and so it proved, they left a ton of space at the back for us to launch fast counter raids through, and it worked an absolute treat.

Unfortunately, I cannot see Colchester doing that on Saturday, so it's imperative that we get the early goal and put them on the back foot - because when we're attacking at our best, we're very good indeed. When we're playing around in front of a parked bus, we're slow, laboured, and lack creativity...

 

Agree re. Stubbs and Clayton. Both very solid additions. And Walkers return is key. Was very unsure on Costello but he's been good in these last 2 games. Ridehalgh is steady too. And Osadebe might turn out to be like a new addition too.

Clayton is better in that role than Smallwood was, and its freed Smallwood to play a bit further forward. Very encouraging few days for us, but only if we kick on and sort the home form.

 

Great from City tonight, brilliant game management with Gillingham not really looking like scoring. Just sort the home form out City and top three is possible. What a goal from Andy Cook, the player who one regular poster thinks should be dropped.

 

Totally agree. We were excellent tonight, but for me it is half time for me. They must go on and win on Saturday. That was a fantastic goal by Cook, just class. Pin point header from Smallwood wasn’t bad either. Certainly the best performance this season.

 

Wouldn't even say that was a 'poached' goal, he did a pirouette to get away from the defender when he didn't have any right to be in possession of the ball!

Absolutely superb from Cook, and that piece of skill was way better than it looked initially.

The Gillingham commentators mentioned our away following and said what a great effort it was from Bradford traveling to Gillingham midweek but I missed how many they said had traveled ?.

I had a shifty at the ticket website earlier this evening, there are very few tickets left in most parts of the home sections, the only exception is the top of the NW corner. There are just over 21000 tickets available on a match day for home fans and being slightly bored i counted just under 2300 still available. We could be talking 19000 + after tonight.
Shit now i am worried, surely we can not blow it again at home.
