That’s utter nonsense. Gillingham Colchester and Southend were like home games for me so I went to them all. Tues nights at Colchester , always a night, saw easily 500 . Gillingham was another well attended City away fix. Sometimes when you come out with stuff like this I believe sticking loyal in front of name doesn’t actually mean you have been to these places to claim only 200 City fans were there.

 

We didn't score until the 43rd minute so most of that unrest was before we scored.

Regards the supporters and attitudes, it pisses me right off how many disappear when we are comfortable and don't stay to show appreciation by clapping the team off.

This isn’t aimed at park, but you only have to look at how much he used to defend Bowyer and Adams when we were doing appalling compared to comments now, obviously he wouldn’t boo or abuse the players. But there are many older fans with his outlook on how football should be played, who don’t share his temperament who demonstrate their frustrations more vocally. Sadly many fans don’t have the patience to see us try build a modern football identity, one which younger talented players like Lewis and Wright will want to come to to develop their game. A loaning club is also far more likely to loan to a club that plays possession football.

 

What I said about both Adams and Bowyer they needed time just as Hughes does but “possession football” played in such a negative way in our own half will not bring the success we all want

You’re right though, Midland Rd and Queens Road was packed with traffic by the time I got back to car, indicating there must have been a mass exodus well before final whistle.

 

I almost always listen to the the opposition commentators on Ifollow - interesting to see how their perspectives differ from out suporters! Tranmere commentators basically concluded that we were decent if unspectacular side and couldn't understand the booing when retaining possesion!

 

Or alternatively we kick the ball up the pitch and lose possession sooner plus they have the ball quicker and have more opportunity to score.

 

IFollow for a home game……poor.

Interestingly, I don’t think the fans were too restless on the whole, very quiet yes.
The two times they did get vocal, was when we needlessly went backwards and the fans got impatient.
The first time Jamie Walker grabbed the ball and drove forward and we scored instantly.
The second time Smallwood turned and played a quick ball out wide which (I think) led to the corner from which we scored.

 

You prefer old fashioned football, nothing wrong with just admitting it. Adams and Bowyer had as much time as Hughes didn’t stop you defending them far more when they were far more negative.
