Of course I'm delighted with the 3 points but that first half was a hard watch, at one time the only person in the ground applauding was Mark Hughes, we had 74% possession first half and most of it was played in our own half, but as has been said its all about points no performances.

I’ve had the desire to boo plenty before, but certainly not when winning in and in control of the game.

Agree on Derbyshire. He is an intelligent forward. Knows how to play with Cook and seemed to be getting on well. I'm a bit annoyed at Hughes playing him twice in such a short period. He could be out for some time.

The contrast to Eisa is stark, especially when he starts jumping for the same balls as Cook! Eisa is a wider player not a central one and Derbyshire has shown that through his intelligent link up play.

Comfortable in as much as they were awful. The second - which was awful keeping - is what made it Comfortable. It was far from convincing.

Table's looking fantastic again, thought we might have blown our chance at 3rd barring a very strong late run, but everything very much still to play for.

Shutting down a top half side like that is a great achievement, and if we can finally sort our home form out, that will be the difference between finishing 8th and finishing much higher IMO

Both Halliday and Ridehalgh put a good shift in tonight.

The start was good and we were much better in the first 25/30 minutes. I'm not sure what happens though really, we just lose intensity and seem to want to slow the game down unnecessarily. I'm not sure why or who triggers it.

If we'd played the 30-45 minutes the same as the first 30 then it would have been a really good half.

course people get frustrated I do get it but at 1-0 up ??????
Wouldn’t it help the players a lot more if the crowd where for them then against them ............. that tonight like the rest of the season is about results now ......... don’t get me wrong I would like to see us in the front foot a lot more but we are 2/3rds into the season and I doubt Hughes is suddenly gonna start changing his approach is he ??????

we have an outside chance of promotion surly now the players need to be turning up knowing that the crowd is with them rather than one pass backwards is gonna result in mass abuse

Maybe 2nd. Stevenage lost to us then had a right trek to Newport tonight. Saturday away at Stockport is also going to be hard (and far!). Can see them dropping more points there.

You'll remember that team under Paul Jewell they did both, but your correct points are more important than performances.

    Don't be fighting you two.

I suspect @bantamdave41@bantamdave41 enjoys winning, and might give some back to those unhappy about victories

Agree we have some knuckle draggers as fans. Booing the team at home when we are in the lead and remind me exactly how many saves Lewis had to make tonight?

I am not sure what some of our "fans" want? We have 6 points from our last two games, Barrow at home on Saturday, sitting in a decent position in the table, showing a calm approach to the game and they still boo. Madness!

I have said it for months , the atmosphere is awful. In my time 15k at VP would have had the place rocking. I mean it , now it’s like a library.

    Why? Discuss?

Good hear the city fans starting to get angry and arsy with our players and manager for repeatedly passing the ball around the back.

All that does is cause problems for ourselves when there's no bloody need.

More of the same city fans.

First half wasn't bad up until the pensioner was sub off.

Second.. just stupid messing around by continuing passing the ball backwards all too often. It needs to stop.

Honestly we want out of this league then the players are gonna need our support to do that and turning Valley Parade into a toxic attmosphere just ain’t gonna help it at all
