That was as comfortable for us as it gets. I will take that all night long.

The booing of Clayton when he passed backwards to retain possession was insane. Quality player still and he has made a big difference to us

Not the greatest tonight but who cares it’s another win .......... 4 points off third with 2 games in hand ........... big game Saturday get a win and the gap could be a lot shorter ......... Carlisle are doing what they do best .......... failing apart at the wrong time.......... hopefully Stevenage are about to hit there bad patch now :)

He’s played well so far in his cameo roles. A good one for next season?

Looking at the 6 steps, only two players better goal per game that Cookie.
So if Notts County don’t go up in the summer i certainly wouldn’t mind us going for Langstaff

A 2-0 home win , obviously we’ll take it but jeez it’s a turgid watch.
It’s supposed to be an entertainment business.
Was I entertained? Not really. I was just looking at scoreboard wishing the minutes away so I could go home and get warm.

Unlikely we'll have Critchlow next season. I reckon it'll be a Stubbs, Platt, Kelly back three. Wouldn't surprise me to see MH play a back three this season, once Critchlow is fit again.

Wow I was shocked at how bad the atmosphere got at times, more like us having 10 men than being the 12th man. It adds to nerves and it doesn’t surprise me that the players start to give the ball away more.

Very happy with that, restricted a team fighting for the playoffs to 0 shots on target and no corners.

Very comfortable win, keep building, the final third still needs a lot of work, but it won’t be achieved by booing.

Such a negative statement to a professional, compact and easy victory.

This team can't win (metaphorically) can it. Back to back wins and some fans booing players and some on here saying they were bored. I'm bored of watching us lose. Well done City. Well done Hughes for changing personnel up and making us look a lot more competitive throughout.

Shame to see Derbyshire go off. Hopefully just a niggle as he's definitely bought a different dimension up top so far.

    Well said WB.
It's starting to get on my tits how some fans moan and groan.

Kop embarrassed themselves a bit tonight IMO booing possession play.

I couldn't care less if people want lumped balls towards Eisa, it's a stupid strategy and I'm glad we didn't do that. We launched several at Cook, and it never came off for him in those situations, yet that seemed to get everybody excited

Found that a bit silly, really.

Clayton controlled that game, and outside of a short second half spell, we were in total control.

Their left back looked a good pacy player, but they had zero shots on target, which makes the fretting of the fans all the more mystifying.

Still, our home form has been bad enough to (sort of) warrant some worrisome reactions.

A bit OTT for me though.

Watched on ifollow so was hard to sense the level of atmosphere in the stadium at 1-0, however there were periods I can understand fans got frustrated and nervous. There were 2-3 occasions just before Cooks goal where a better press from the opposition could have put us in real trouble. That said sounds like some of the crowd was OTT and seems to lack a bit of understanding of game management.

Kiwomya actually said after the game some supporters needed to get used to and trust in Clayton and think it’s a fair point. He’s the player we’ve missed all season for me and with Stubbs, potentially the spine of the team for the rest of the season could be pretty solid. Ridealgh also had a decent, solid enough game.
