Our fullbacks being exposed time and time again. They’ll get a goal from one of those crosses soon. What happened to Tom Bola? Deemed not good enough? Same as Costello who seems to be fourth choice behind Derbyshire, Eisa, Oliver. Fifth if you count Cook. Reet set of signings those two were!

Walker has been man of the first half for me. Trying to make things happen when attacking and covering for the sloppy Gilliead when defending.

Great finish from him there. Well done Jamie lad.

 

I tell you what Walker is like a new signing ... great defending and loves a goal

As we know at 1 - 0 Tranmere are very much in the game, 70+ possession but passing it around at the back.

 

Walker does have that little bit of extra class at this level. We Just have to make sure we give enough ball to his feet

 

Football is a funny game. They play miles better footy than Stevenage yet are miles behind them in the table.

 

An ok-ish first half. We’ve just slightly deserved that lead at half time but not looked threatening enough. Walker goal was very well timed and welcome and relatively well worked.

We really need to step up straight from the off of the second half and be straight at them. Last thing we want is to allow them to get comfortable in the game as they’ve showed enough that they have a threat.

Shame for Derbyshire - hope the injury is minor as he was looking relatively lively.
