Ironic the guy Parky signed for City was the guy to keep Sheffield United in the tie, gutted for the guy.

Agreed mate, can he take on board Wrexham’s performance and instil it into our team? Watching Wrexham tonight was like watching City in the good old days! Bring back the style of play from the Parky era, come on Hughes take note!!!!

 

You could hear his leg snap, it was sickening.So pleased he has made a good career for himself.

 

Yet some called it hoof ball, even if we accept it was hoof go ball (which I don't) there was always plenty of goal mouth incidents which we are not seeing under Mr Hughes.
I've posted before like it or not you knew under Parky you were always in with a chance of getting a positive result against anyone.

 

Who knows what the outcome of his loan to City would have been without that terrible leg break.

 

Weren't they filming a documentary and that is why the owner was there today? Otherwise he usually misses most, but not all, home games.

 

Bring back the style of play from the Parky era? If they do I hope we learn how to defend first. Some of the Wrexham defending was laughable.

 

I must admit i felt quite envious watching that, it was like turning the clock back to how we used to be. What a contrast to our last outing which amounted to one corner and one shot on target.

 

He wasn't that old when he was with City,so I guess he would have gone back to Sunderland,and progressed from there.

 

Whilst I tend to agree with your sentiment. Let's not forget that it was hardly season upon season of steady advancement under the previous regime. Prior to Parkinson, Messrs Rhodes and Lawn had about as much luck with managers as the present owner is having. If we remove Parkinson from the equation, no manager can really be considered a success at Valley Parade since the last administration. That's about 5 of the last 23 years where the club's looked upwardly mobile, what a terribly depressing statistic that is.

 

Still there and been to more games than Rupp.

 

OK so if Rupp had attended more games how would our league position have changed?

 

Yes, when you have owners or owner that shows interest it makes a massive difference. Certainly at our level

Didn't quite answer my question. How much higher up the league would we be if Rupp was sat inside VP on a matchday "showing an interest".

 

We would be top.

 

To be fair to Wrexham, they lost 2 defenders through injury in the first 10 minutes
