I wasn't messed about or played with, if the game went ahead I would have gone but it was called off so I didn't.

The referee is one that decides not the club. If the referee says wait for another hour or 2 then postpones the match he'll get even more stick and the club will have wasted money on wages of stewards etc

Communication is the key the only thing the club said was there is an inspection at 12oclock. They could have said at the moment the pitch is unplayable but hopefully by the inspection it will be ok. There is no way I was leaving it till 12 before setting off. But you live and learn no way will we set off again when there is a pitch inspection

On Canal Road at the moment. Visibility less than 100 metres. Game wouldn't have continued with this fog, even if it had started.

I wish you’d all stop moaning. The only question to be asked is where bid @Bluebry@Bluebry park?

For the last few years every time I post on here it takes ten minutes before it posts and then you need to delete the duplicate. Maybe just maybe if I leave them up they might do something about it. At last.

    In a pub in Skipton!!!
Pulled over there about 11.45am, then waited for the inevitable, just knew when they called the pitch inspection at 11.30am it would be off, what a bloody waste of time and money!
I think when it had got to that late in the day, then it would have been sensible to wait until at least 2pm to see if there was any chance.
Anyway had a lovely pint of Doonbars in Skipton, had a good crack with the bar staff and then tootled back to the proper North.
See you for the re-arranged match.

Keep it to yourself but the horrible Steve Evans is the man to get a team promoted from this league :imp::imp:

People do many more Saturday daytime social things and go on more holidays in the summer months. Moving football to the summer would create many more conflicts between matches and family activities than winter football does.

Three men and a dog along the M62 give a flying feck about Rugby League. The rest of Britain doesn't give a toss. What might be acceptable to the dwindling number of northern RL fanatics would be deeply unpopular around the rest of the UK.

Very few football fans would want to go through the miserable winter months without any football to watch and discuss.

Mild winter? There hasn't been much snow, granted, but we've had temperatures at or near freezing quite a lot of the time.

There are so far ahead of 4th place they can afford quite a few blips.

I genuinely thought Stevenage's wheels had have come off by now. Fair play to Steve Evans, they are going from strength to strength and likely winners of the title now. He sure knows how to get clubs promoted out of this league

    No

We don’t live in BFD as you know, but we took dogs out this aft. Long line of trees saw iced grass and a rock hard ground for a 20 m strip. The rest was soft. It was 1500 hrs. Shadows cause real problems.

Barrow have lodged a complaint to the EFL about their game being postponed today. Seen photos and it looked a bizarre decision looking soft all over.

From where I live in Keighley I can see right down the Aire Valley to Shipley and it has been shrouded in thick fog all day. Assuming it extended to VP what makes you so sure the frozen areas of the pitch would have thawed given there was no sunlight getting to the pitch and the air temperature was around +3 c
