Both games postponed due to frozen pitches. So yes, they do have issues.

As far as I can see only Colchester V Gillingham & Stevenage V Leyton Orient (both in the South East) + Hartlepool V Rochdale (on the coast) are going ahead.

Was surprised to hear it's off, to be honest, but then pretty much every game in League Two is off.

    Three still standing... for now.

All three remaining games have massive automatic promotion or relegation implications.

Would be no outcry from me, I’d just go home and accept it like Sunday league teams have to when they’ve got out of bed pissed, got full kit on, walked to pitch in freezing cold, put nets up then ref comes and calls it off at bang on 11am.

We've had 2 frosty days and both called off with the covers on, like I say, may as well bin them

The covers have made the majority of the pitch playable. If we didn't put the covers on then there would be deep frost in the turf which would take a lot longer to thaw. Also because half of the pitch is in a good condition it means the players can get in a bit of a training session this afternoon

Back home after a 160 mile round trip. Pulled into Birch services, checked my phone, just as the postponement was announced, turned round and straight back home

The joys of being a football fan.

It feels like there's been a lot of postponements this year compared to normal, despite a pretty mild winter - are you noticing more postponements than normal?

I'm asking you as you probably notice more than me given travel time!

2 games called off for a frozen pitch and both would have been playable at 3pm.
The Rochdale replay lost because like 50% of our fans the players can’t be arsed on a cold dark wet Tues night.

Thirty years ago. Long before elf & safety became a thing. 30 years ago you could smoke in pubs. Not many would want that back.

With postponements, you get good seasons and bad seasons, I'd say this one is in the middle so far.

What I tend to notice more are the late decisions and this one would fall into that category. It does feel that we've moved away from early decisions this season.

Looks like every league game north of Watford Gap is off, barring those with undersoil heating.

Yeah, 12 is pushing it even for people in the same county, especially getting transport, wanting a drink, etc.

I was caught off guard when I was told it was off. Hadn't been online, so didn't even know it was a possibility beyond seeing the weather this week.

It's lovely but cold out lol

That’s completely different, passive smoking kills innocent people against their wishes.
Choosing to attend a football match when the pavements are icy is completely under your own control.
The only reason to call off a game is if it’s unsafe for players and officials and at 3pm I’m absolutely certain the pitch would be fit.
Surrounding icy paths and difficult travel plans should be irrelevant.

People do things that are suitable at various times of year.

People use cricket as an excuse which is nonsense, local cricket is dying of death, I should know I watch it. There's times when there are less than 10 people watching it.

People adapt and change, it worked perfectly fine for rugby

I've said similar we act like billy big bollocks when it comes to the crowds and the attraction of the club yet in reality we are just as tin pot as the rest of this god damn division

As I've just put on twitter, it looks like they are now setting up for an impromptu training session. Missed opportunity, they could have had kids down watching training and meeting the players etc. Could have even flogged some of the food that will all now likely go in the bin

All fans should be writing or complaining to the FA.

Games shouldn’t be called off on the day or lasted should be by 10am on match day.
