Well he was good enough to come from a promotion winning club and be given a three year contract. All i have seen of him is cracking goals. We don't want that kind of thing do we.

 

We got suckered in to lowering our standards down to Rochdale easily the poorest team I’ve seen down there at 2-1 down no reaction nothing

as for the ref my god I thought I’d seen it all but to not give that penalty was fooking laughable ........... and if he can’t see that as a pen then he shouldn’t be anywhere near a football league game but he’s in a long line of these useless @?#& isn’t he

 

How can you say he’s not very good when nobody has seen him play!

ok when he’s not been given an opportunity by Hughes. I think the main point is, it is now glaringly obvious to all that support City that Hughes clearly has a personal issue with Young. He was mates with Harratt, is that the reason? Harratt left, does Young have a long face, is that the reason Hughes doesn’t play him? Or (and I hope this isn’t true) is Hughes so stuck in his ways and blinkered that he couldn’t bare the thought of keeping an open mind and giving the lad a chance?

All will be revealed in January, likely Young will be packing his bags and will no doubt go and shine for another club - with a manager and fan base that appreciate him.

I blame the stay away fans and the woeful atmosphere at home games.

 

Once again we have to go to Wimbledon and get all 3 points, we do make it hard for ourselves, listening to Radio Leeds and Gary Jones doesn't understand the lack of effort after going 2 - 1 down, but us fans know this team is not capable of winning 1 - 0 we needed that second goal yet showed little with regards getting it.
I believe that's the second time Lewis has saved the initial penalty only to see us not quick enough to clear the rebound.

But he's right where the guys talking to the team as he used to do, difference being in Jones team it would not have been left to the Captain there were 10 Captains out there.

We haven't once turned around a losing position to take 3 points this season. Not once. That's not a good sign.

Two thoughts.
If Gilliead and Sutton are in our strongest starting eleven then we're in big trouble. Why are these two our wide players when we've signed so many wingers.
The two shots by Gilliead and Chapman that sailed over the bar summed up their respective goal threats perfectly.

 

Jones spot on saying basically when they scored 2nd we did nothing after that

 

I still can't tell whether the defender wins the ball. I actually think he does.

 

We didn't do much before.

 

Chapman is a luxury who produces nothing. Creates nothing. Less said about his scoring/shooting the better what it is 1 all season.

Crowd need to worry about his shots more than the keepers.

 

We have seen him play. He’s just average in my opinion.

He doesn’t have the pace Eisa, Chapman or Wright had/have. He doesn’t have the ability of Walker, Pereira or Banks. So where does he fit in?

It’s that old scenario where players are overrated when out of the side. I think Hughes has left him out because he doesn’t have a particular strength to offer to this side to warrant jumping ahead of the aforementioned six (now five now Wright has gone) in competing for only two wide positions.

 

Fed up now.

Fed up of watching teams score and the captain with his hands on his waist and a lack of leadership.

There's no fight in this team. We have a goal lead, we drop off and deep. Other teams score we have no fight and heads drop.

Fed up of the tactics that aren't getting us enough goals. Gilliead isn't a central midfield player. Chapman is under performing but still plays yet Cook can't get on the pitch.

It was an even first half and we scored with our only clear chance really. Tactics and personnel needed to change to better suit the conditions but everything stayed the same.

I think tonight just emphasised the many things that aren't great in one match and we aren't scoring enough goals to win matches and we're conceding too many. Inevitably we'll win the second to last match of the season to get to 7th place then lose the final one.

Don't mind losing but it was poor tactics tonight and the players just didn't want to fight as much as the Rochdale players did. They were magnificent after they scored their second. Actually controlled the game with some good passing. (let's leave aside their awful time wasting)

 

Lewis needs to learn to push the ball away from goal not back to the striker for another bite.
