And sadly the 4 seasons before last, there certainly seems to be a pattern to how we collapse every year.

Just reading the game is on Ifollow, a bad night and it might have an effect on the attendance.

Agree but, dropping AG just might have a positive effect on the attendance.

Well I was at Wetherby Road (or whatever they call it now) for our game (Carlisle) a few weeks back. An absolute bizarre game, they were better in almost every department from minute one to minute 95 (when we equalized) in a 3-3 draw.
I'll be very surprised if they're in the relegation shake up at the end of the season, infact judging by that game I would bet that they could be pushing for a playoff spot.
As a matter of interest how many supporters do they normally bring to Bradford, with it being little more than 10/12 miles from Harrogate?

Smallwood and Gilly start, then as usual we get overrun again in midfield and lose 1-0 or 2-0, and the players will get booed off. This is how predictable our season has become. It’s been almost 6 weeks since our last home game, and I really am not looking forward to tomorrows game (doesn’t help I’m full of cold). Since the Northampton schooling, I have been to both Orient and Carlisle, and I have seen absolutely no evidence that these players and manager have learned anything from the previous loss. Aside from the first 10-15 mins at Orient, it has been woeful

We should look forward to games, especially over the festive period

It’s actually about 20 miles from the EnviroVent Stadium (I kid you not) to Valley Parade.

They allowed a full compliment of City fans attend the game at Wetherby Road. We totally sold out the away ‘end’. Yet apparently having a capacity of 5,000 (I kid you not) they only got (let in) 2,505!!

Sadly Harrogate are a very tiny club, who have achieved well beyond the size of their support. Others like Sutton, Crawley, Salford also all have very poor attendances. Even in League One, Forest Green, Burton, Accrington and Fleetwood all have very poor attendances. Wrexham, Notts County, Chesterfield and Oldham in the National League are all ‘bigger’ clubs with far better grounds and support.

8:45am kick off for me, so I’ll buy an iFollow pass and watch us play for a reasonable time for once. My fiancée is watching it with me, so it’s her first time watching city!

We got 650 tickets if memory serves, do they not give you more? considering the size of your club and the fact that if they only get 2,000 home fans (at a push), seems bloody daft on their part!!! Give me York City, Halifax Town or Oldham Athletic over that lot any day.

We were allocated ‘around 600’ no specific number. According to FGG, ‘Away fans are housed on the Wetherby Road side of the ground, in the Envirovent Stand. This stand is a covered terrace, that runs for around two-thirds of the length of the pitch. It is comprised of six steps and its low roof means that away can really make themselves heard. It has a capacity of 700. On one side of this stand is a small covered seated stand that comprises 150 seats’. https://footballgroundguide.com/leagues/england/league-two/harrogate-town-wetherby-road.html
Yet they couldn’t make available that capacity to us.

It sounds like you must have virtually sold out.

It smacks of prejudicial practice. How the EFL/FA allow them into the league is beyond a joke.

In this day and age, they could move some of their own ‘supporters’ to other parts of the ground, give them a grant of £10 to relocate and then sell the tickets.

We are rapidly approaching 25% in to the 21st Century. Having uncovered ‘terracing’ and archaic ticketing practices really should end.

If the weather last night is anything to go by then the pitch could turn into a quagmire pretty quickly unless today brings some brighter skies.

I wonder if this may bring about a change in approach, and we'll ditch the tippy tappy stuff in favour of something more direct

Cannot see Hughes changing his philosophy about how we should play, whatever the conditions.

Never seen a manager yet change his philosophy on the game. Its why the majority of managers fail when moving to clubs with a different mindset. Take Parky for example, pretty much always sticks to what he knows works for him. Hughes may be forced to change due to our poor form but i'll guarantee he'll revert back to his favoured formation when he's had chance to bring in new personnel to change players he feels aren't up to carrying out his instructions.

Neither can I and that's what worries me more than any concerns over team selection.

The zonal marking at corners has cost us goals now at Orient and Carlisle plus at least 3 other occasions this season but will he change that too? Or at least address it? Not a chance.

    It's baffling.

I agree. If Hughes continues with his current approach when we're the home team, I can't imagine our home results improving at all. And it's the home results which are our Achilles heel.

There's a frustration growing that revolves around the lack of use of the squad. With a fair few underperforming I'd have expected to see the likes of East, Young etc being given some sort of game time. If he isn't utilising his squad now when we look stale and predictable then it's clear those players have no future and should be instructing their agent to get them a move elsewhere.
