And me. He's been sublime so far in terms of all round contribution. Just a few goals now.

The two in central midfield have been woeful. If MH doesn't give East or Sutton a run now then, if I was them, I'd be knocking on his door and be demanding answers.

East yes but Sutton doesn't do anything the current two don't

He runs at opponents with the ball and drives into the box. Regardless of how successful he is, that's definitely something the other two don't do.

You see managers and players demanding referees explain decisions then when they do managers say that it doesn't change anything so referees can't win either way.

This just feels like we are using this as excuse to hide from how we were so poor for the majority of the match and how bad the defending was.

I’m not disputing how poor we were in this match.
Orient are miles better than us and thoroughly deserve to be well clear at the top.

Why pick this particular mistake though.
All refs make mistakes and almost none of them explain their poor decisions.
Will he explain every mistake he makes from now then?
    No he won’t.
    So why pick this one?

I look forward to more refs explaining their poor decisions in the future if we ask them about it then.

Crikey, wouldn't have Drysdale down as holding his hands up to a mistake.

I have a feeling , don’t ask why, just a guess , pressure was put on the EFL , with video support to prove how bad a decision it really was. In the scheme of things it made no difference but at the time of both incidents it could have changed the game . France V Argentina is a classic example of a goal changing a game ?

    He bottled it, simple!

It probably did not make a difference to the end result, but 1-0 up could have made it a different game. A possible point here added to the 2 from the Swindon debacle , could have seen us in fourth place and with a game in hand. Its all water under the bridge now, but annoying at the time.

Quite right, but even under pressure Drysdale struck me as the type to lecture the rule makers rather than admit a boneheaded error.

We battered them for the first 15mins and goals change games. Had he been given the penalty and scored it we might well have won the game.
Yes we were poor in the 2nd half but were already 2 nil down by then and getting absolutely nothing from the ref.
