Season ticket scam

    I haven't heard about anyone who's been sent this message but just in case anyone has had a Whatsapp message about their season ticket being cancelled. Assume this means data has been leaked/stolen/hacked at some point. Would be good to hear from the club when this happened and what data has been compromised.

    Would be interesting to know what the actual WhatsApp message says. Is it specific to our club or just generic

    It doesn't have to mean any data has been compromised. You see it a lot where scam messages actually get sent to a wide group with a specific topic, most people just delete them as it isn't relevant to them so they realise its a scam. The minority where it is relevant to them and hence they are left wondering if its legit then start talking about it and it can then between those people look like it was targeted from specific data thus suggesting data has been compromised when the reality it isn't.

    Mind you even when data has been compromised these companies are awful at disclosing it, most take several months, some even years and others hide it until it comes out some other way

    Yep, and I gave the Nigerian guy my banking details so he could transfer my $500,000 to my account keep your eyes open for news of a potential new owner when the funds have cleared.

    I'm really worried something might have happened to them. I sent them their airfare and money for their grandmother's operation over a month ago now and not heard anything from them
