Should have been more than Three and Hughes knows it.

 

Foulds and Platt are the worst of our once-tight defence.

Neither are individually good enough.

Platt looks better when Crichlow holds his hand all game, while Foulds looks okay at left back as long as we're the better team.

But we've seen both struggle very badly indeed against better opposition.

Gilliead and Chapman are nowhere near good enough either.

So much work to do...

We deserved nothing from that game. Poor defending, powder puff attacks. No passion and now look like they just want the ref to blow for full time.

 

It's whoever is in the penalty area Dave, we are pathetic no matter who the ball falls to.
Shocking stuff overall, this is not a promotion side at all.

Gulf in class is absolutely massive

 

we are going nowhere with a central midfield that has Smallwood and Gillead in it.
Smallwood is steady enough, but average at best and does not dominate the midfield like i thought he would. Gillead a complete waste of a place, has he ever done anything in a city shirt, ship him and Angol out in Jan, NEVER UNDERSTOOD THE EXTRA CONTRACT and send Pierra back, try and off load Threlkeld and possibly Songo.
Another mini rebuild , that might help us kick on.

 

I dont think Drysdale did much wrong today,its not his fault we were poor.

 

What's the shopping list?

New centre back to replace Platt.
New left back to replace Foulds.
Two new centre midfielder. One to pressure Smallwood and one to replace Gillied.
New mobile, pacy striker who can run the channels and hold up ball up.

I'd like to see Eisa, Chapman and Peirera moved on and bring in a new wide player

 

We usually sack our manager late January/early Feb so we’re right on track.

Everyone knows formation tactics everything. Never changes so easy to play against.

That’s harsh. They’re frustrating but not dislikable. Of everyone, the one who needs to up his game most is Hughes. Its not good enough, in so much as our shortcomings have been clear since the first game of the season and aren’t being addressed.

 

Evans is doing a good job at Stevenage not sure he would be welcome at Valley Parade.
With regards their 3rd don't the players have to take some responsibility for making the same error again by not marking the free man on the edge of the box ?.

 

What length contracts are these lot on? We are screwed for two/ three years.

Expected this result, so not shocked. But the next two games are huge and 6 points is a must.

Both Gillingham and Rochdale in bottom 4 and both lowest scorers in the league. Gillingham haven't scored a goal in the last 6 league games, since 22nd October and have scored 6 goals all season in 20 games.

Massive two games, in our quest to stay in the play off places.
