Not sure it was that good

 

not as bad defensively. But we rarely looked like scoring.

just looked far too slow in midfield with this set up again. No service upfront.

 

I'm getting really fed up with this team now. There's no imagination from any of the players, they all play like robots. Maybe try something different? Run at a player and put a decent ball in the box? Is it that hard? I can take a loss but when we are having one or two shots on goal a game it's not good enough

 

Not quite sure why Hughes was giving the ref stick. He needs to be looking much closer to home

 

Gary Jones spot on after no passion or desire.

Played like they couldn't be bothered.

Hughes needs to wake up one upfront and one tactic doesn't work. Especially when the whole league know exactly how we're going to play.

62% possesion and did nothing with it except mainly side to side and backwards.

 

Salford are garbage and we couldn’t penetrate them??

He can't rotate Dave, they aren't good enough. That central midfield doesn't really achieve anything, it doesn't create yet it doesn't really stop attacks. I know Oliver hasn't shown anything but to be fair to the lad when he does play he suffers from the same problem Cooky does, no service at all. The 4-2-3-1 looks frail but we lack the right personnel to change it. That was a chance to progress and bring in revenue yet we looked disinterested.

 

I’m glad with the potential prize money and only being 4 games from Wembley we gave it a proper go.

Just got Radio Leeds on and Gary Jones is bang on too predictable striker off and replaced with another like for like etc, I'll listen to what Sparkie has to say about tonight's miserable performance.

Neither side deserved to win that. A truly dreadful watch and Salford were just as poor as us.

Midfield is becoming a serious problem. Smallwood was always seemingly carrying Gilliead but now his own performances have gone down the toilet. We're lacking bite, drive energy and a forward passing ability in the centre of the park which is essential for a side who wants to play through the lines.

Neither of them are showing for the ball either, meaning we're taking 5 or 6 touches instead of 1 or 2 to play the ball forwards. It slows our game down and then we just panic and lose the ball either through overplaying or panicking and booting it long.

I don't know what the answer is in midfield but something needs to change there.

 

I'm not saying we are anywhere near France but they played very positively because they knew they had quality up front to score. They started with four out-and-out attackers and so why can't we do the same? So what if we lose 4-3, it's better than chasing a 1-0 with no effort. Get Cook, Walker, Wright, Banks and Oliver in the line-up somehow
