If thats kicking the ball away, then there should be bookings galore in every game. The referee demonstrated with the ridiculous amount of stoppage time and further bookings that he thought everyone was there to watch him. I’ve seen players do what Platt did many, many times and rarely if ever get booked.

 

He defended well especially when platt red carded

I thought Platt did well until his silly sending off. Halliday had a good game. In fact that back four (five) is starting to play well as a unit.

 

We mixed our game up tonight played it long at times and possession football at times has Sparkie seen the light, these two commentators from Mansfield are pathetic did they expect us not to waste time when we could, Christ the ref gave them 11 extra minutes to equalise.

Exactly. I’m not even sure it was a free kick in the first place. And Platt was excellent before he went off.

 

Rubbish I have seen it loads of times players getting booked for kicking the ball away. Remember Donny at home? Platt had enough time to compute what he was doing. Deserved yellow.

That referee was garbage in the second half.

No way was there ever 12 minutes of stoppage time (I know he declared 10, that was ridiculous enough) - and how the hell has he not sent there lad off for two obvious yellows in a row?

He gave the ref a decision to make-not nonsense at all. Remove your rose tinted glasses. We won tonight but we made hard work of it.

 

A very harsh call when you compare it with some of the other challenges that he allowed play on, as you say poor call.

 

Apart from the idiocy of Platt a great performance. Gilliead still the obvious weak link though.
