Now only Wyke left from the starting Wembley playoff side, that is one big turnover of staff in a short period of time. When Wyke goes it will be a completely different team. Might take a while before we see the team starting to gel.

I hope you are wrong in your last sentence Roger, as we need to hit the ground running if we were to challenge?

I think it will take time, how long no idea, but we have some experience in there so hopefully not too long.

High turnover of staff makes sense if you're not trying to foster a good working atmosphere or keep your staff happy - which certainly seems to be the case with Mr I-Know-Best.

A lot of teams have a large turnover over players every preseason. I don't see it being a problem. How many first team players did we have on our books before PP started assembling our squad in 2012? Just Hanson and Wells I reckon.

Do you think any of the players released or sold so far should still be here?

Not necessarily. Teams in play offs usually come quite late. Millwall last year. Rotherham took a while to get going this year. Plymouth started poorly and nearly did it this time around

I don't see it as a bad thing, just don't expect a team that flows from the start, at the moment this is a team of strangers with a rookie coach. Collins still has to mould this influx of individuals into a team where everyone knows their role. The reason why we looked strong defensively under parky was because that back four knew each other inside out after playing together for so long.

There's a strong case to say our failure was caused by dissatisfaction with the working conditions.

I can't think of any plausible explanation for the capitulation last season, and all will out in time.

Yeah, absolutely. Doyle and Law should have been retained in my opinion, I get people were split on Law, but that's my personal opinion.

There's a very strong case for trying to retain Tony McMahon, too, but I guess he's incompatible with our owner.

Not fussed about Poleon leaving at all, that's good business, and I can see why Vincelot + Dieng left - decent players, but nothing irreplaceable.

As for the German keepers, there are a fair few that should have joined them on the way out, but hey ho, can't have everything!

I’m not sayin* we aim for the play offs... Where did I suggest that. I’ll try again. If we aim to be automatic, then we need to start off running and not play catch up.

If you are happy with a poor start good luck ... your nerves should recover by the third weekend in May 2019

Don't think he'd be happy as a number 2. The reason he's enjoyed these couple of seasons and got into the Ireland squad is because he was playing week in week out after being a number 2 for a number of years previously.
